Project Fuel Tank
I have been building a few fuel tanks lately, here is a couple of pictures of the large competition fuel tank for the 427 type cars.
I am very fortunate to have an original 3000 fuel tank we were able to look at and see how they were made back in the day.
This tank just needs the fill neck and threaded plugs welded in for the pickups, breathers etc.

Looks like the tank in my Kirkham. Did the original have baffles?

Yes the original tanks had baffles, my new tanks also have the baffles and fuel trap for the pickups.

Jeff,
Yes we can cover all the tanks, 427 street, comp, continuation, and the 289 tanks.
As with most projects, we can also cover custom setups as well.

Craig,
Do you have a solution for a fuel level sender ? A kit to retrofit a tank with one ?
Thanks,
Curtis

Try Classic Instruments - they have tube type (vertical column) senders in a variety of lengths (6" - 24") available for most gauges (e.g. 0-90 ohms, 240-33 ohms, etc.).
Classic Instruments Store / Fuel Sending Units
Available direct or from dealers / distributors (e.g. Summit Racing).

It's a shame that such beauty is virtually hidden from view in the final installation...

Thanks guys, as with a lot of details they get hidden in the completed car.
Cheers!
