Coach picked me up in his Unique and drove about 25 miles to met Tim in his Unique. Then we proceeded west to Red Bay, Alabama for our annual Turkey Day Run.
Stopped at Jack's and ate a small breakfast because we knew when we got home we would be eating the rest of the afternoon.
Beautiful weather 55 to 63 degrees.
Visited for a hour and then returned home. Great start for a great day.

My car is nearing 25 yrs old so it's time to flush the cooling system replace all the hoses. Since the cooling system is drained decided to pull the intake manifold for polishing. Also took the fender mirror off installed a RayDot on the windshield side rail. Finally replaced the wing deflectors with tempered glass.

Be very careful with those wind deflectors, one small stone that would cause a star in a windshield will cause that wind deflector into a shower of small glass shards without warning while you are driving. Laminated safety glass will star or crack but tempered glass will shatter into fragments.

Thank you for the heads up,the poly wings were getting to a point I did not like the look with all the very fine scratches.

You may try Plexus or Lemon Pledge polish. (What we've used for decades on Helicopter and light aircraft windshields.)
Both fill the myriad of fine scratches in Plexiglas and Lexan.

Or to permanently get rid of the scratches use Novus polish.

Thank you again for the suggestions I will save this info and keep it with the poly wings if the glass wings ever shatter will certainly give this a try.

I second the Novus product. For acrylic, it is the best that I have found.

There's no issue at all with running glass wind wings/wind deflectors. Just take them to your local window tinting establishment and have them fit a clear tint to one side of the glass (or both). Problem solved.

Tracing an electrical gremlin for a few weeks. Gauges were going all crazy and it didn't make any sense. Traced it to a bad headlight switch. Next problem was trying to figure out what the switch was so I could order a new one. Turns out it's from a 75 caddy or 78 Pontiac. Gotta love kit cars.

Received new tires for my Cobra today....M/T Sportsman S/T's. Happy happy joy joy!
Now I have to remove all 4 wheels and bring them over to my tire shop guy. Yeah, I'm pimping them out with Goodyear Billboard lettering to become a real poser. What the hell..! :-)

Finished my hard top from Mr. Bruce. Added two linear actuators in the trunk behind the rollbar. No need to cut the trunk for access. Also adds some cool factor without adding any weight to the car.

Real nice! Like the fancy vents to help with air movement with the top on. Should help with avoiding foggy windows.
