Wives driving Cobras
Do any of your wives like driving your Cobra?
Today was Michelle's debut at our local Coffee & Cars. She had a blast!
How about you guys?

My wife drove my ERA once, she liked it. She will not be driving the FIA, unless it is around the paddock as she does not have a race license.

According to Title IX, will you be setting up a "Husbands Driving Cobras"?

She is scared of it but i gave her my vette and she and her hot friends drive around with the top off and love when they get Cat Calls. I think she would crash the cobra by the end of our street, not joking.

No, way. My wife has never met a car she couldn't dent.
Last year I bought her a newer car, and she ran the front end up onto a curb 20 minutes after leaving the dealership. And I really do mean 20 minutes. She has never driven a car for more than a month without putting some kind of body damage on it.
She backed in to a dumpster with my '70 Torino Cobra. "I didn't see it."

Can't even get my wife to sit in the passenger seat, she thinks my Cobra is some evil sounding beast.

Nope - and never will drive any of my cars - she doesn't have a driving license and refuses to get one - which is a good thing as she would swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid killing a bird or any other creature.

Like so many people now-a-days she can't drive a stick shift and my attempts to teach her back in the late 70s were a mixture of comedy and calamity. She swore off ever trying again. Heck - she will rarely ride it in.

My wife has driven every muscle car we have owned except for the Cobra it makes her too nervous. She enjoys riding in it as long as I don't get to frisky.

My wife doesn't even like to ride in it, much less drive it. She says it's too brutal and it hurt's her neck when accelerating.

I told my wife I would never let her drive my car, so she made me buy her one. Drives it just as hard as I drive mine and she won't let me drive hers. Go figure!

Not married but did take a female friend for a ride.
She's a salesperson at the local Porsche/Audi dealership. After about a 20 minute ride I pulled into a parking lot, got out and had to convince her to drive. She did and was rather timid at first but after a bit of acclimation she became more comfortable, not crazy just settling in. She did really well.
We were on 4 lane industrial road at a traffic light. Instructed her to roll away from the light and mash it at about 2,500. She did and the tires lit up as expected. I was impressed at her control but not as much as when she grabbed 2nd gear and set me back in the seat. I was in love, she had a huge grin.
But then she's not your "normal" girl. Multiple Porsche & Audi driving schools, drove everything that came through the dealership and ran sport bikes at 180 during track events. I knew what I was letting loose.
What good are the toys if you can't share them?

My Wifey likes to drive out on back roads when the corn fields are low, so she can see the deer coming to see us.

You know, getting "FRISKY" wail driving is Distracted Driving.
I do know what you mean.
