Shelby Tribute Drive - South Africa

Found this - might be of interest to our American Cousins.

I wasn't on it but it was organised by the Cape Cobra Club as an end of season drive before the winter storms. We have some of the greatest Cobra drives in the world what with the Sea, many mountain passes and winelands all within a 100 mile circular drive.

I believe there were some 20 odd Cobras on the drive.

Here's an old one dating back to around 1991 taken at a track day at Killarney, Cape Town, organised by Shamrock. Interesting to see the lack of safety precautions in those days, wouldn't be allowed now. Some track time, some drag racing and one accident.
