Default Reputable body shops in SF Bay Area

Bay area members,

Can anyone recommend a quality body shop in the Bay area? I'm not talking about "Joe's Burrito stand and Body works", a quality shop where you'd take your own vehicle.

Thanks, Ron

Find out who the Corvette people favor since they would use a shop that does
good glass work...maybe a Corvette forum would be the ticket.

The guys in the Bay Area Cobra Club swear by Ken's Auto Body in Yuba City. Not easy to get to, but supposedly does great fiberglass work.

I have seen some of the work that they have done and it is outstanding. Also there is a shop in Loomis that does fantastic work but unfortunately I can't recall the name. Do a Google search for custom auto body work in Loomis and you will be able to find them. At the Lincoln show I was beside a Chevy pick up who used the Loomis shop and the body work and paint was the best I have ever seen.

Maurice,

Yes and no. The GT is done, has been for weeks. It's just that the insurance company (State Farm) doesn't want to pay the bill at the rates the shops want to charge. In fairness to the shops, there rates are quite reasonable. Unfortunately, my car is caught in the crossfire. I was just trying to get quotes from a wider sample of shops, particularly those in the Bay Area. The prices seem to be pretty close, regardless of location.

How are you?

Ron
