Default Door sill trim-cobra restorers brand

So my sill had a few nicks that seemed ripe for covering up with a door edge strip. I like the result overall but the terminations look a bit unfinished. The front is hidden behind the hinge bot the back looks a bit rough...since a pair is only $20, I ordered a second pair that I am going to reinstall, the first effort having a couple errors I want to fix.

Anyone have a clean termination for the ends?

Thanks
Steve H

I would just chamfer the end and leave a small step for strength. A few minutes with a file and fine emery cloth would sort that out.

Our door edging is long enough to go past the latch (with a notch). (96" long, cut in half)
From Macklanburg Duncan, several different widths available.

It needs to have a radius on the two corners to remove the sharp 90 degree edges. I think mine actually has a really large radius on the door side and a small radius on the cockpit side so you do not catch on it when entering the car.

Definitely needs cleaned up.

Thanks, do you have any photos of this installation? And which product to use from the catalogue link provided?

Thanks!

Another consideration for those unfinished trim edges. This manufacturer makes all kinds of rubber seals and trim.

Default Door Edge

I like the look of that on your car and would like to do the same on mine. I see the door edge on Cobra Restorers website, but where did you get the vinyl-leather pad attached to it? Thanks Rich

No photos (unless you can find one on the ERA site).

Search the catalog for "70201" and pick which width you need from the illustrations. Bend carefully and radius the top.

The trick will be to find someone who will sell you just one. (And don't ask me.)

Standard superformance part, likely available elsewhere on Brit sites...most parts cross over to MGs and old healeys and the like...
