it's a VSE with a small block chevy aluminum block and heads, four webers, six speed tremec with a Winters live rear axle. Aluminum frame with bonded monocoque floor and transmission tunnel. Built beginning in 2001 by Herb and Matt Adams the suspension gurus.
I plan to autocross it and some driving on the street.
I expect it here early next week, being trucked from Monterey CA.
Oh, I forgot to mention it is bored and stroked to 427 CI. 
It looks to be a race car with a thin veneer of street legality.

The doors are so lightweight shutting one feels a lot like fanning the charcoal flames with a a paper plate.

Some of the doors are just the outside shells with an inner layer of light fiberglass. But they hold up well for normal use. I had mine with an inner coat of billet steel because I wanted some protection while racing in case I was hit in the side by another car.

Mine has a nice looking aluminum rectangular tube in it acting as an attachment point for the hinge and latch and as side protection (I hope).

Congratulations! Beautiful machine.
May I make a suggestion.....the strength in the VSE chassis is in the transmission tunnel (the "backbone"). It appears the underside of your transmission tunnel does not have a structural cover (to complete the "box"). The transmission mount for my VSE was welded to a plate that enclosed the transmission tunnel from the bottom. You could do that or with some square tubing "triangulate" some bracing for the bottom of the transmission tunnel. Just a suggestion.
Again, beautiful machine and I love the induction system.

I bet that you had a hard time sleeping last night waiting for the Cobra. That is a great feeling and I know that once you get used to it you are going to have a lot of fun. Just take it easy until you get the feel for it as these cars aren't like any other you have driven.

Do you have pics you can share of yours? I wondered about that myself and have been thinking of a plate there like my Bugeye sprite had all those decades ago.

I am surprised that I slept as well as usual last night. The truck is not here yet though and my attempts to nap have failed.
I intend to be very very careful with it. My current autocross car is a 1250# Lotus with 250 hp and a flat torque curve. It approaches the power to weight ratio of the Cobra but does not match it. It will pretty much spin the wheels on any turn at any speed so I have some experience with traction limited by the throttle.
I'll run it hard on the track but will drive like a Grandpa on the street.
