What car cover do you like?

I'm looking for a general purpose cover, mainly to keep dust and stuff off my roadster while garaged. Also would like to be able to depend on it when she sits outside overnight, say at the London Cobra Show.
Suggestions welcomed.

For a indoor cover I like this CoverCraft product.

For overnight you might consider one of those disposable clear plastic car covers over your regular car cover. Otherwise CoverCraft also makes an outdoor water resistant car cover.

Ok, gentleman this is my $.02 and only my opinion. One cover cannot do 2-different job's well. I've had car cover's on all my nice cars for the last 40+ years. #1 rule on car covers, Never, never put a Polyester (plastic) cover on anything that has paint (your Cobra) Think about it, (would you wash your Cobra with a Polyester mitt?) That's what most cover's are ,or some other Poly thing. #2 always use cotton, that at least will not scratch the paint, if using a out door cover, put a cotton blanket, sheet, under and the Polyester cover over that. I have a indoor cover that is just cotton under, and flannel on top. Those are pretty much the best you can get for indoor. We Cobra owner's spent a lot of money on our paint job's so two cover's are way to go. Oh, and if you can tie down your outside one, if there is any wind, don't get me started on car covers and wind, like putting on a car cover on a open trailered car, (Bad News) Thank you letting me add my $,02, Tom.

I garage my car 100% when not on the road. If garaged for more than a few days, I cover the car with BUDGE #2 grey cover. Works great and certainly affordable.

FWIW Have used cal car cover for years, soft cotton and does good job with dust. When out side an chance of rain I carry painters drop cloth at all times and put over car cover, pull tight and have 4 clamps to secure to quick jacks. Takes no room at all and cheap to replace.

I have a car cover from Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories that I like - soft on the inside, cotton on the outside. I reached out to them and they tell me that pattern still exists and it is the proper cover for Cobras. They've also indicated the fabrics have improved since mine was made, now coming in a variety of colors.

Your post reminds me of the sad lesson I learned way back when I used a bra on my Porsche 914 on a trip. Heartache!!!

Oh Bill, These thing's called bra's, back in the day, were like your car wearing a bra (what no shirt?) I always liked her free, and out in the wind They were great if you read what to do with them (take them off when you wash the car, never put them on a wet car, wax under them, etc) BUT after a few times, most people thought that was too much of a hassle, so as you know the end result My story, I brought a new 80 Sunbrust Gold Mazda Rx-7 ordered it to be my Auto-x car (no sunroof, AC delete, etc.) with Gold Compomotive wheel's Pirelli P-6 tires, shock's bar's, spring's, etc. Well the dealer thought a bra (at dealer cost, doing me a favor) would top that option list off, I explained in "detail" what he could do with that bra on my car. I wasn't mean, just firm. I bet he still remembers our talk. Thanks Bill for bringing that up Tom.

I bought a super weave from California Car Covers. It doesn't scratch the paint and is supposed to be 100% waterproof. It's not a tight fit on the car but has means for tying it underneath, which would tighten it up. It folds up pretty small for carrying in the trunk.

I called California Car Cover before buying their PLUSHWEAVE.
Form fit 100% cotton and soft flannel lined.
They said it was their best indoor cover for guarding against paint scratch and dings.

Personally I do not believe car covers really help much, if at all.
They do more damage than good

In the garage I use nothing. Using a cover indoors invites contact IMHO. Any dust can easily be swept off with a duster. For outdoors I use a custom fit Weathershield cover I helped develop jointly with CoverCraft and now sold through Car Cover World using my Factory Five as the model.

I have a flannel cover from Branda on my ERA 427 street model and it fits great...also had a cover from the old Beverly Hills Motoring accessories for many years on the '69 Shelby I owned for many years and it was top notch...I see BHMA is back doing covers once again.
