I like the round too. I'd prefer silver, but it really doesn't matter to me, they look good in both.
I'm in for one for sure, I'll talk to the other Cobra owners when I see them at shows (there aren't many around my rural area, though).

@RB60, that my thought's too, use Buzz's first design on the first 40, just to get the project up & running. Buzz, I think it might be time to go to ALL COBRA talk, and post the word after I talk to the Arnie Brown people, YES? I've PMed the boy's in AZ. and will talk to Dan later today, xb-60 (Glen) will put the word out in AUS club post. Cheers Tom.

What would it look like if the center circle was empty and just large enough to hold a Cobra Hood/Trunk Badge? Super glue is a great thing..

A quick search of the USPTO shows no trademark on the words "Club Cobra"

As I've stated earlier in this thread it would be advisable to contact Ford and ask permission to use the Cobra Snake emblem as it is copyrighted.
"SHELBY®, CARROLL SHELBY®, GT-350®, GT-350H®, GT-350R®, GT-500® and KR® are registered trademarks and/or the trade dress of Carroll Shelby and Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. (Shelby). COBRA and the COBRA SNAKE Designs are trademarks of Ford Motor Company used under license".

That is for the "Cobra" snakes used by Shelby, Buzz's design is different and therefor open. If the CC badge used the emblems used by Ford/Shelby, that would be an issue. The TPO search has MANY "Cobra" images being used that do not infringe on the Ford trademarks.

Mark !V my post regarding copyright issues was in regard to this post and others wanting to use the Shelby Cobra Snake within the CC emblem. A dissimilar badge with a
generic looking snake of the clubs design would probably not be an issue.

I agree. Copyright could be an issue. As i recall ford owns one flavor and Shelby the other. Both are protective.

If the CC badge was done so a standard "Cobra" nose/trunk badge could be installed, there would be no issues as they are licensed via Ford by the manufacturers, ACSCO [ http://www.acsco.net/emblem/index.asp] is the original supplier and there are other licensed suppliers) As Ford has approved these and gets their license fee (very familiar with this, I held a Ford Restoration Parts license) there is no concern.
Note that ACSCO shows several of the Shelby Cobra emblems from the round type to the 69 GT 350/500 type to promote their products.

Great artwork Buzz, thank you for sharing. Yes we are Club Cobra, a group of wild and crazy Cobra enthusiasts who wear our Cobra religious badges pinned to our chests. I'd feel privileged to wear one of these badges on my Cobra, as well as have one as part of my Shelby Shrine I bow and prey to daily. LoL! But seriously, count me in.

Artwork has been sent to Arnie Brown. I'm really excited to see the finished badges.

Guys, I spoke with Alfa02 (Tom) this morning. It appears that there is a lot more interest in these badges than originally believed. We think we can get at least 40 orders but don't know if we can get 80 orders. Since the MINIMUM order is 40, we decided to leave the order window open until June 21. We will place the order for the total number of badges ordered and paid for on Friday, June 22. If you don't get your order in by then, you will have to wait until we can get a second order of 40 or more before we can place a second order.
Tom advised me that the production time for these badges should be about 6 weeks. which should talk to delivery around mid-September.

Hi Dan. Thanks to you and Tom for all of your work on this. Since I'm stuck way down here in the islands, I'll need to use PayPal to pay for my (2) badges. I have a shipping address in Miami. Can I place my order through you?

I must be blind, because I can't see the badge price, shipping cost, etc.? What about shipping to Canada?
