Quickest / Fastest Cobra - 1/4 mile?
There's a shake up going on in the GM / corvette 6 speed world. Recently, a driver legitimately ran a 7.8 @ 170+ in the 1/4. That got me wondering, what are the quickest fastest runs in the Cobra world? I searched and found this, but it doesn't really answer the question and it's outdated at best - Who has the fastest Cobra or Replica here?!?
So, can others post up with verifiable times/speeds?
Edited to include this chart from another site as of August 2015:

I don't see him on that list but HotFingers had a Cobra that ran down with the best that I see there.

Hi Dwight, the one year, the cop with the radar gun clocked me at 114. The next run I made he called me over and gave me his card, and had 114 written on the back.

I seem to remember from the magazine tests back in the day a 289 cobra would run about 100 in the quarter.
Now that I have this 427 ci beast I have been pondering a run at the drag strip to see what it will do.

Stock 427 cars were slow 12.2 at about 118 mph. I went to Detroit dragway with a fairly stock 427 that made 560 at the crank and had big street tires. It ran 128 at 11.2 with a 1.8 60 foot, they asked me to leave after that.

I knew what you meant, it was just funny as I would be in the dame boat, eccept I have a scatter shield. Same with the 1/'2 or one mile run's, not a full cage .

If anyone in the NJ/NY/PA area is interested in running the 1/4, I'm renting Atco Dragway for a day in November. Because its a closed rental, tech should be a bit more lenient than if you were running on a regular test and tune day. Shoot me message here if you're interested.
