FFR leather seats, hope I made the right choice
Factory Five have 25% off on parts right now so I went ahead and ordered a pair of leather roadster seats. I've heard that ERA have superior seats, but the price was far higher and this way when I get my FIA kit I can have FIA seats when I want them and seats with more padding when I want to drive all day. I plan on fabbing up some brackets that will let me swap both seats in 15 minutes or so, so hopefully it works out well. I hope I didnt make a mistake here, but even if I find I dont want them in the Cobra I could add a tall swivel end up with an awesome pair of leather office chairs.

I bought a pair at the beginning of last year. They seem to be pretty decent seats. The padding on the bottom has a little bit to be desired, but that is an easy fix when the time comes.

Yes, those are the ones. I'm glad that someone is putting my mind at ease a little, I've been on the verge of buyers remorse all day and haven't even seen the seats yet. I sure hope they are nice. Adding some padding shouldn't be all too difficult if I need it.

I believe that the original Cobra seats have seven (7) stitch lines in the seat area and are more fan shaped than the Factory Five seats. The ERA seats are more in line with the originals if that matters to you. The new ERA seats are metal framed and have a rubber trampoline cushion nearly exactly like the 1960's AC seats. Also the ERAs have the wool rear exterior last time I saw them. Of course as you pointed out, there is a bit of a steep price difference between the ERA and Factory Five seats.

I have the same FF5 seats in vinyl and I've been very happy with them. They have the original style metal frame and are quite easy to mount. I made up some seat platforms for my car to lean them back a little as most Cobras are a bit cramped due to the wheel arches. I think you'll be happy with them. The bolsters are pretty comfortable and hold you in pretty well. And they are a little higher back than the seats most of the manufacturers have been selling, which were never comfortable to me.

We have the leather FFR seats and find them very comfortable. I have them on the Breeze Automotive mounts that provide for a slight recline and I’ve modded mine to add headrests. We do several long weekend trips a year, usually in the range of 350 - 400 miles a day without being uncomfortable.

I have these seats in leather in my car. They are really nice and are a great buy. I made a couple of adjustments to improve the thigh support to suit me which has worked out very well. Check with Mark Reynolds at Breeze Automotive for an inclined seat mount and some other helpful tips on how to get the most out of them. Overall I think you will be happy with them.
