Importing BDR from Canada to USA
Hello- I’m new to CC and am looking at a possible BDR purchase from Canada. I live in NJ and understand I may have my hands full from NJ MVC if and when I get the car. Does anyone have experience regarding importing from Canada or could you point me in the right direction here on CC? Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that car needs to be a minimum of 25 years old before you can import it - notwithstanding the fact it was originally built in the USA.

A "non-conforming" car cannot be imported if less than 25 years old. We had a Superformance that was in the USA for 16 years, went to Canada and could not be re-imported despite proof of US origination and registration.
Run, don't walk. And how did a BDR get into Canada? They do not allow "rollers" or "kit cars" (a "starter kit" is a different setup) as they closed the Superformance dealer there some years back.
