This is the link that bypasses the front matter and takes you to the forum list

From there, select "new posts" on the top ribbon.

That's what I've been using, Tony, but I thought I could use a shortcut straight to "Today's Posts" (in Quick Links) to get to a listing of....today's posts. That gives a better picture of current posts than going to the "forum" page.
It worked the first time and the second time for me, but then it ceased to work.
I'm a mechanical engineer, not a software guy....that's my excuse
