Can anyone tell which Cobra kit maker this is based on?
See dealer listing here: http://www.olmanmotors.com/vdp/12037...ville-OH-44641
Frame is square tube and the car is using a Jaguar read end w/inboard brakes.

It's a American Classic. Just talked to the selling dealer, said it was a road race car at one time, and it's a TRUE legal Roll bar. Hum??? Not so sure of that. Named off the owner, some big time drag racer, but this was his Road Race car (Couldn't remember where or when it raced). Seller said the owner is a TALL guy. Cheers TommyRot.

@karlos, that "Rat" motor is built by the same co. that built the Vega, Chevette, Saturn, etc, etc. ???? I think I'll stick with the Co. that built the "Pinto" Cheers TommyRot.

With those side pipes pointed down, this would be a good tool for blowing the grass off of the driveway.

TommyRot, the Vegas and Pintos used to be in contention to see which would rust away the quickest.
Edse...L?
No major manufacturer has hit all home runs or foul balls but a RAT motor is/was one nasty MoFoBro!

Ugly roll bar
Ugly roll bar
When we were doing the restoration on 3178 I asked the old fart if I could put a nice roll bar in and he said he like that one so we made a new one identical to the old turd and he was happy
Here’s a better picture so you can really see the beauty of it

Goofy Until...
Your upside down with your head inches off the ground hanging from your seatbelt, vs doing a gordon smiley...

I don't think a bigger uglier roll bar would have saved poor Mr. Smiley.

If you are so worried about rolling your car that you have to build that Jungle Gym set-up, you probably should look at another car altogether.

I doubt that any sort of roll bar would have saved Gordon Smiley.
We've all heard of "horrendous" crashes. His was the poster child.
