A lot of people swear by those Motive pressure bleeders as the thing to use. I've always been a little worried about pressuring up a master cylinder even to just 6 or 8 PSI for fear DOT 3 or 4 fluid might somehow spew out on nice paint if the seal was broken. But never heard of it happening. But it does seem like a fool proof way of getting around all the problems of air leaking past bleeding screws and so forth.

Each can powers a system. Pressurize each one and bleed that system. Think of it as bleeding 3 reservoirs and their respective cylinder(s).

Thanks Tom, I was thinking the lids on the cans were likely a non-standard size (or thread size) that the pressure bleeder wouldn't screw on to. I believe most of the pressure bleeders come with two or three caps to accommodate different sizes so, if one of them fit, it should work fine. My main point was that this seems like a simpler solution than the self-bleeders and I'm considering getting one.

Speed bleeders are great. Once you get the right size and install them it's smooth sailing from there.

Highly recommend them.

Forget the fancy pumps and speed bleeders. Forget using two people. Just
use a Mayonnaise jar and a short piece of clear plastic hose and do it by yourself.
Use "search" to find this thread: "Best approach to bleeding the brakes." See
Patricks entries on the mayonnaise jar method. It works!
