Just that, if it’s been blessed by Ned Scudder, that’s about all you need to know.
I recall seeing this car at Elkhart in the early 1990s. It was gorgeous then and looks to have lost nothing since.

Does it appear in the Shelby register as a competition Cobra?

J,
If you're serious about this car or any early original series Cobra I'd go ahead and spend the $75.00 usd to join the registry.
https://saac.wildapricot.org/page-258810
Because IF you're serious and going to drop $1.5-2.5 million on a car it would be prudent to go to the source of the information.
Forums can be very helpful but can be like asking Stock Market advise from fellow Subway passengers. Sometimes its great, sometimes a grain of salt.

Ned is the SAAC registrar for the Cobras, nobody knows more than he does about them. He is also a member here

CSX2487 was not a factory comp car. It was converted to a comp car for road racing by an early owner. It was activity raced in '67, '68 & '69. It was also vintage raced in later years.

It will be interesting to hear what the OP's end game is for the car. From the OP's verbiage, I am surmising he may be located overseas. Will the end game be vintage race (if so, which governing body) , show car, pedestal car, or perhaps for a private clients focused collection.
Bill

If you click on the OP's (the Original Post writer) user name it indicates that his country of origin is the UK, that and there's that "chaps" thing..... I think what mrmustang, Bill, is referring to with verbiage is that the OP is specifically interested in 64-65 race history.

Oh. I thought it was one of one, a competition car ordered and delivered with the rare competition luggage rack.

Glen,
I think that it is that being south of the equator thing, turns everything upside down.
