Help with Hi-Tech Motorsport 1997 from AZ
2 Attachment(s)
Trying to identify front and rear brakes, I'm working on a cobra that was built in 97 from high-tech in Arizona I'm familiar with some of the history of the builder, I'm looking for information for what applicat of wilwood front and rear brakes, it has an independent 9-inch rear and I do not know what the axle housings are for the rear and the spindles for the front to order the brakes I do not have calipers or rotors and they are knock-off hubs on the spindles, anybody have any information identifying the rear and front suspension so I can order the brakes wilwood I've been on the phone with them and we're trying to sort it out but it's a little bit of a guessing game because we didn't build the suspension and we don't know what application of the parts that are needed.
Any help greatly appreciated thank you. |
Wilwood Superlite calipers have a 3 1/2" bolt spacing for the caliper mounts. Dynalites are either 5" or 5 1/2" - sorry, I can't remember.. Looks like a typical 8 bolt rotor (8 bolts on a 7" bolt circle). Rotor diameter will be 11.75" or 12.19" diameter. You may have to mock something up to determine rotor width and diameter. PM me if you get stuck, good luck.

Could you take a picture of the pads and provide exact measurements to Wilwood in hopes they can match the pads?
|
Picture looks like Superlites- rotor width appears to be 1.250. Better question is anyone have pics of the rears? Not uncommon to run a .810 wide rotor in the rear. Rear does a small percentage of total braking so we use calipers with smaller pistons. Fronts should be staggered bore -1.875 & 1.750 piston. Rears calipers will be sold to specific rotor width and usually have 1.375 or 1.250" pistons. These are 4 piston calipers.
