Default Request for used small items for a crashed car

Hi All,

New member here. I haven't seen a "for sale" section here. So if you have to buy small parts, does anyone know where one could find someone parting a car out? I see Cobras on Coparts being auctioned off that I would be amazed if they were trying to revive, so someone must be buying them to part out. But where?

Its not like I don't appreciate the wonderful people running their business selling parts, but in some cases, I just don't need whole "kits" or assemblies.

For example, I saw a nice kit for all the wind wing hardware. Or the visor hardware. Those kits would be reasonable at $100 for all eight hinges. But I only want one of each. Soooo.. if I could find those items for $25, lets just say I'd be happier.

I'm also curious if anyone has tried a different rear sway bar end link attachment?
Mine are sheared off, but they are an unusual construction, and I'm considering a more generic end link. Like one you'd see on any GM sway bar.

If they're "sheared off" and "an unusual construction" that's probably not a coincidence - and an indication they probably weren't properly engineered in the first place. Emulating something like the GM sway bar end links, or those of any other major manufacturer, would likely be a better solution.

First of all, welcome rusty. This is certainly a good forum for help with parts for Cobras.

There is a For Sale page here.... PhotoPost Classifieds - Parts For Sale (private party) - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds

I have not looked there much previously, and there's not much advertised there at the moment, so if you use this current page, All Cobra Talk, that's a good place to ask questions about parts and availability.

I'm in Australia, so I can't be of too much help, but you're located in Davis, CA? ....I'd be surprised if you have trouble finding what you want close by. Continue to ask specific questions, and you'll get help here

Also, tell us more about your car; that might generate some interest.

Cheers!
Glen

Would be helpful to know who the manufacturer of your kit is, as they are not all the same.

OP appears to be working on a wrecked Superformance. OP may want to check Europa Spares (UK) for one-off fasteners/details. Various bits and pieces is what makes the Cobra hobby expensive...good luck.

Also, Cobra Valley makes an excellent, Heim-jointed fully adjustable sway bar setup that puts the factory pieces to shame.
