Tim" Doesn't the noise, both engine mechanical and exhaust annoy the hell out of you at hiway speeds, or don't you do hiways ?

I don't know why anybody would opt for a TL over a TKO. Now, arguing whether the .64 OD is right for you, sure, but if you have a typical 3.54 rear your revs are going to drive you crazy at 75MPH with a TL.

Patrick,
That is what ear plugs are for. Try racing a cobra with a TL and 3:54 at 130 mph or worse yet, at 7,000 RPMS in second gear. My ears hurt. .
My ERA had a TL and 3:54 gears and it was not that bad on the highway.

The feel of the toploader outweighs the benefits of the Tremec. There's nothing wrong with either, though.

At highway speeds wind noise is what I notice the most.
Under acceleration, particularly from slow speeds that's a different story.
