Cobraracing out of business?
Trying to buy some stainless spinners/wingnuts. None of their phone numbers seem to work. Anyone know if they are still around?

I think I called a couple of months ago and talked to them . George's son is trying to get things back in stock.

Mike McCluskey would know. I heard Mike was working with Georges son to improve some of the parts for better fitment on original cars.

Tom (George's son - I think that's his name) will answer email.
I went to Tom's shop soon after George passed (wonder what happened to that Polish "Non Kirkham" coupe George was building??? George was quite a character), saw the parts Tom had in stock (which wasn't much) and talked business.
Tom wants to make a go of it and make improvements as Larry mentioned. He's a nice guy but he was pretty concerned about there not being enough business to be worth it.

Well it is a pretty small niche. I have the Cobra Racing steel spinners. Was George, and now Tom, the only source for steel spinners?

Tom is catching back up. He has invested a ton of time and money into improving fixturing and processes with new machinery. His Dads coupe is now almost finished by another well reputed builder and headed to a new owner. I think he is the only source for steel spinners.

Tried calling all the numbers and none actually ring. One goes straight to fax.
Guess I will look for other places to buy stainless spinners...

Have you emailed? May take a day but he should answer.
You could try a Shelby dealer, too. Prepare for sticker shock.

I think mine were $80 each way back when. Shelby probably wants ten times that now....

I got mine through ERA, bundled with the hubs. Not sure who supplies them to ERA.

Go out and look at them and see if they say "COBRA RACING" on the fronts.

Duh... Can't believe I didn't notice this before - they're Shelby American.

I think George used to manufacture them for Shelby America.
The set I bought from him in 2014 were the Shelby ones. I didn't specify a brand.

Need to make sure I end up getting the right ones as well
