Gauge Temperatures/Pressures
Just finishing up working on my dash switch and instrument labels project.
I have now acquired the proper red and green adhesive material to add as visual markers on the minor instruments and was looking for suggestions for the temperature splits for good/warning visual markers values.
Looking at the reference photo I have of the dash on CSX2002 (Below) the green/red split markers used, I note the following.
Water Temp looks like 212 degrees F.
Oil temp looks like 115 degree C. ( Oil pan temp or oil filter sensor location?)
Oil pressure looks like 25lbs./in2
These look to be standard numbers?

Blas,
Are you asking what the photo seems to indicate? Or what semi "normal" readings should be?
Call if you wish. I like the tape.

Well fuel pressure could vary by cars setup.... Weber’s, EFI, etc. and. Oil temp by location of sensor, pan or filter. Oil pressure obviously hot/cold oil, oil weight, bearing clearances, water temp by thermostat/fans.
Just looking for others opinions. Perhaps best determined on a car by car basis?
I’ve had interest in the switch labels, was going to include in instructions.

Looks completely different from mine. My oil pressure runs about 52 psi under load and idles around 28-32 psi. Oil Temp usually runs in the 185 degrees F as does the coolant.( Im running a 180 degree thermostat.)

I believe the split between green/red on the tags identify the safe/danger temperatures. Where is your oil temp sensor located. Coolant temp varied with thermostat.

Blas,
I think there are good or "normal" ranges but each engine will be different. The radiator, oil cooling, oil lines/filtration, induction/fuel pump all change readings. Use, installation, ambient will all change what "normal" may be.
Max or min readings are more based on the engineering / technical designs of the engine and components.
Too cold can be almost as bad as too hot. I'd be inclined to show both sides of "normal".
But then I may not be the best person to ask about "normal".
