HELP: Karl Bebout get back on CC.
Karl has not been able to get back on our site since a issue with his Email / Password. Brent (EM-0785) & I have done what we can contacting Jamo, etc. But it seems nothing is working for poor ol'Karlos . If anyone else can help, send me a PM, and I'll get you his Phone# and Email. He's not only bothering his wife, but now he calls me you know he's desperate if he wants to talk to me Help Karl get back here where he belong. Cheers TommyRot.

According to Club Corba he was online today at 9:04 am.
Maybe he just doesn't want to post anymore.

Tom, I have no ideas at all. I was "out" for five days over the Easter weekend plus into the the following week, but that was with the usual five "login failures" problem
Good luck Karl

Just Weird Glen, an IT buddy, said it might be a "Server Error" on the other end, whatever that means ?? Over my head, I know that much. Brent Mills may have be involved it this??

Hi Karl,
https://forum.vbulletin.com/forum/vb...ot-functioning
This link to a vBelletin similar sounding topic may provide some useful info. The individual user scenario appears to often be the user's browser blocking a browser extension such as Javascript or other which facilitates entering a post.
If it's only one user being affected it indicates it's generally something on that user's machhine. One test if not already done may be to use your login credentials from a different computer and see if it makes a difference. I assume you may have done that already from other devices, yet perhaps try from a device you nomally don't login from.
A screenshot of what you get (or don't get) may be helpful. For example, are you not getting certain screens, or are you getting normal screens and posting as usual but nothing then shows up on the forum. Grroups can be set to require moderation before something shows up, but I assume for the entire group, unless more granular here and yours was reset somehow. We know it's true you're in a class by yourself Karl.
Seems it's likely an issue for you or Brent Mills, leaning toward you. I suppose forum bug or incompatible forum upgrade could be it, but again, if just you then may be likely your interface.
Best of luck. Brent

He may have a virus on his computer.
Has he tried posting on something different like his I-phone, if he has one?
BTW, Karl not being able to post really isn't a bad thing.

The idea of using a different computer (or phone) is a good one. Make sure that device has no history of accessing this site. If you can't do that then try a new, different, browser. Install and try Chrome or Firefox (or something else you've never used before). We're not trying the different browser but the fact that this new browser has absolutely no history of the forum and it's cookies and other things. If it works, then start by deleteing browser history and cookies from the old one. I've found that I had to reset my entire Firefox profile since I couldn't find what was messing it up. It was most likely not a link associated with the site but some bad obsolete link it pointed to elsewhere that became entangled in its own history.

Hi Karl,
One way to prove out whether it's your system (likely) or the site, particularly if you don't have easy access to a system you've not acccessed from, is to give someone you trust your credentials and see if they can login from their machine and do a test post. If it works for them, you know it's an issue with your system and can troubleshoot from there. You can then reset your password of course. If you report back your results to the site through Tom or such I'm sure there are some folks here who can try to help. Brent

Another method is to just use Private browsing, Incognito, or Privacy mode in your browser.
