The Olde English will work our noodles pretty good unless you happen to be a researcher accustomed the the different sentence construction and variations of the words we use today. The modern translation delivers the important message.

Apparently this guy is selling another “super snake” also……..I didn’t realize “super snakes” had big ass back up lights hanging off the rear valance or standard passenger style lap belts or a locking steering column or well….the list goes on and on

The red car he has listed is a Classic Roadsters, we are everywhere
We are talking about NOT using the Tractor Supply backup lights for obvious reasons
That’s not the standard Chevette column tho
I’ve just picked up the factory hardtop moulds for it
Great car, hey this is a COB car too
You can’t make this stuff up

This guy looks like a real fraudster! I've never seen a SuperSnake with a n/a 302 or a four speed or that goofy hood and he represents it as a COX refurb. Guys like this do real damage to our community.

You know it’s a Classic made in Dakota or Minnesota not a Super Snake rite
Hey don’t mess with the dude, he will send you a bad email

I think that is probably close to a sternly worded warning to the Taliban
It's a shame guys like that get to prey on the new and not yet grounded enthusiasts in our space. It would be nice to be able to show the potential victims who and what he really is before they are damaged ...

All AC, COB, COX and Auto Kraft, cars had two things in common, round tubes and aluminum bodies. If you can find me an original AC289 car for his prices, I will buy it in a heart beat!

Interesting response, especially considering he refers to the car interchangeably as "1967 Shelby AC Cobra 427 SC" and "This is a real AC Cobra 427 SC". I appreciate this isn't a CSX car, but a real COB car would be valued much higher than the asking price. A COB car also would have round main chassis tubes and wouldn't have a plate that says "Manufactured by Shelby American Inc."
My advice to any prospective purchaser: Know what you're buying - and that this car isn't a real COB car or one build by either AC Cars or Shelby American.
Edit: I just sent this to the eBay listing:
Your listing refers to the car interchangeably as "1967 Shelby AC Cobra 427 SC" and "This is a real AC Cobra 427 SC". Shelby (CSX) and AC (COB / COX) cars would have round main chassis tubes - which this car doesn't have. The plate says "Manufactured by Shelby American Inc.", but that would make it a CSX car - which it's clearly not.
Who is the manufacturer of this car?
It will be interesting to see what kind of response I get.
Edit 2: Seller's response: "If it were a Shelby car it would be worth a half a million or more. It is an AC production (British Made). Not an aluminum bodied car or again, it would be worth a half a million or more."
My follow-up: "If it was built by AC it will have round frame tubes and either a COB or COX (export) frame number. It doesn't have round frame tubes, so it's not an AC.
I hate to repeat myself, but what make is this car?"
Edit 3: Seller: "I hate to repeat myself as well. It is an AC production."
My follow-up: "What proof do you have that this is an "AC production" car? What's the COB number?"
If the Seller truly believes it's an AC production vehicle he's mistaken. Reported to eBay as a "vehicle misrepresentation".
Edit 4: Seller: "Yes, it has a four digit COB XXXX chassis number."
My follow-up: "Please provide the number."
Edit 5: Seller: "You will have to come see it in person. I am not giving the info out on a public forum."
My follow-up: "Many COB, COX, CSX, Kirkham and Superformance cars (and others) are listed with their numbers. Providing the number allows prospective buyers to check provenance. The only risk to "giving the info out on a public forum" is risk to you in exposing the listing as misrepresentation or fraud.
Anybody can take a set of stamps and mark chassis tubes with a number. Your unwillingness to provide the numbers speaks volumes.
I'm done.
BTW: I've reported this listing to eBay as "vehicle misrepresentation"."
Edit 6: Seller: "It is not misrepresenting anything. Don’t threaten me with your bulls**t. You can go f**k yourself. Why don’t you come see the vehicle and we can handle matters in person. Otherwise, just keep hiding behind the internet you pu**y." [Note: apparently CC's profanity filter removes seller's nasty words.]
My response: "Classy response. Not!
BTW, mature adults don't need insults to communicate."
Edit 7: I thought I was done with this guy, but apparently not. Seller: "Real adults don’t need to try to threaten someone with misrepresentation or fraud when you don’t know what you are talking about. Keep hiding behind the internet. You are a real tough guy. Stay in Canada and dream about America and our fine cars."
My response: "Yes, I'm in Canada, and I have a Cobra of my own - but I don't advertise it as something it's not. I also know a number of folks in my community with Superformance, Factory Five, Classic Roadsters and other replicas. None of us represent our cars as anything other than they are.
I was born at night, but not last night. I do know what I'm talking about.
It's a Cobra replica, but don't post it as a Shelby or AC car when those cars used round main tubes - while your car has rectangular tubes. That's a clear giveaway that the chassis wasn't built by AC. I'm not accusing you of doing it, but COB numbers could be stamped by anyone if they wanted to misrepresent it as a genuine AC car. Providing the COB number allows for that provenance to be validated.
Have a great day."

It’s a CLASSIC ROADSTERS that looks like a car that sold for $35K a few years ago
COB cars are right hand drive
Ebay does not care unless you file a complaint for profanity
You have to be a buyer for misrepresentation to mean anything
Your tilting at windmills
For inquiring minds that want to know the Classic has lots of activity now.
There are 7 build/ rebuilds of Classic Roadsters going on right now on the forum. One is in Dubai. A new style hard top is being developed from an original mould. New rear end coil over mounts are being done in 3 or 4 flavors. New original mould dash panels and filler piece fiberglass are available now. The location of the original moulds and all things Classic Roadsters has been confirmed.

It’s very obvious that the seller has no idea what he’s talking about, knows nothing about Cobras or their history and is misrepresenting this car as something it’s not.
Someone should send him a link to this thread! Let him come on here and thrill us all with his vast knowledge!

The red car is a CR / CR II - but what's this one?: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Shelby...d/203603064115

Everyone should confront this joker on his ads. Challenge him. Make him infamous. Maybe he will pull his listings

He's no different from the scammers that pester you on your cell phone. They all depend on an uneducated public. He's hoping some unknowing individual will think they've found the deal of the century hoping to get rich quick. The buyer will be someone that knows a little but not a lot about Cobras and thinks the seller doesn't know what he's got. It's the opposite.
You may shame him out of this ad, but he'll dress this pig over and over...
Why not report his blatant mis-representations to eBay?

His ads all say:
PRIVATE PARTY TRANSACTION
I am a restoration shop (not a car dealer)
If so, then he is running afoul of California's Used Car dealer rules... Someone should challenge him on that and ask for his dealer ID. He has to have one.
I'll bet he put sawdust in the tranny of the car he sold to his grandma.
Oh and he's a born again Christian (look at his web site.)
Scumbag.

Wow, amazing this guy remained in business for more than a week or however long it should take to get a court order to shut him down. But I’m not surprised he remains in business in CA. Apparently the prosecuting attorneys out there love sustaining fraudulent and criminal activity there.

It's difficult to intervene since noone here has suffered any loss. We're too smart. As much stuff as he's moved (according to his web site) he HAS to have a California dealer's license. You might try rolling up the summary here and tell them of his mis representations. (I don't have the time...)
You could try complaining to the BBB. Or post on Yelp (those get people's attention.)
