First 3 had significant budgets constraints with compromises while the current is essentially what I wanted and could finally own. You can change lots including seats, roll bars, wheels etc. Enjoy the education and search, talk to other owners. Most are happy to show you their cars and share their knowledge. Hope you figure this one out. If it’s not right keep looking. There was a Factory 5 for sale on this site in the same price range that might work for you and another on FB market place. Don’t know the cars but they’re around with others.

Well said. All outrage aside - depending on the asking price (not sure what it is) this could actually be a viable starting point for a nice Cobra build. The body looks more accurate than a few - ahem - more popular brands and if it also has a decent chassis and suspension, the rest is mostly easy cosmetic changes. The hardest part I can see is redoing the roll bar holes in the rear deck after ditching the PVC-looking abomination that's mounted now. Dash, scoop, tail lights, seats - piece of cake if the basics (chassis/drivetrain/steering/suspension) are sound. For the right price, this might well make a great budget build.

As for these OP's who come on here asking folks to take time to ID a Cobra and disappear without a word; I stopped caring long ago. I really enjoyed the detailed research into the different brands years ago when I was looking to buy and these threads let me relive that a little.

I didn't disappear on purpose just got tied up with work so I wasn't on the forum. I just came across the car on FB and thought it was odd that he (the seller) was addiment that it was an ERA?

@the shadow, for $39k (In this day & age) that's not a bad price. As many of you that know me (Never paid retail ) I'd offer 32-35K. With FFR going on BaT, in the 55-75K range, or just one-off's bringing over 40K. As long as the bones are good, I'd say a good starter car for a newbie, and little money left over to fix those pieces that bother you.

I love B&B. One of my favorite cordials. Hadn't had any for quite a while so went searching the local big liquor store around Christmas time. I couldn't believe it but they had ZERO. Nunca, nada, zip. Another store on the other side of the valley had 1 but not in the size I wanted. They blamed "supply chain". I think they were limiting inventory on slow turn products. They had plenty of Amaretto Disarono though.

I was the 1st caller on a FF Mrk III that came up for sale this past week for $20K. It was rolling and running in primer/guide coat sitting in a body shop. It had a 5.0 FI doner engine, 5 spd tremec , 8.8 rear, carbon fiber dash, gauges, mustang 5 spoke wheels,5 lug all around, discs all around, all headlights, tail lights & seats. was missing the roll bar windshield and carpeting. I wanted to buy it but the guy said they had no MSO paperwork and it may or may not have been titled with the state? It was his uncles project and he died so he was selling it as is. I told the guy at 8pm wed night if he could find out for sure if there was a title or mso I'd buy it cash, he said he'd ask the family and look. I messaged him at 8am thursday morning to follow up and he said he took a deposit and sold it. I kick myself for not just buying it but I didnt want to get burned with there being no paperwork?

I think we are long past caring what it really is

But I say it's a Midstates or early Shell Valley.

So still just for fun. Not a Artnz/Butler (has rear fender lip) but look how far back the motor is, how high the steering column comes out of the dash and the exterior trunk hinges? Who's the manufacturer???

This might help a little: Trunk Hinges - Where can I get these? It mentions a few different makes that used the Triumph hinges. I agree, not an Arntz/Butler! Besides the lip, who would waist their time filling in the four holes and then put in rectangle taillights? Still, engine moved back, high mounted steering wheel, extra wide console, who else other then Arntz/Butler used those?
