Another basic question about transporting the car in trailer. What is best/safest way to secure car while towing?

I had the E-Tracks installed specifically to use the tire nets.

If it's a Suburban with 5.3L it will struggle pulling a loaded 20x8.5
enclosed trailer on extended warm weather travel that's not
flatland. Transmission cooler is highly recommended as well.
You'll also need a trailer brake controller. I'm guessing your
Suburban is already equipped with the OEM max tow package
so you're GTG with what's mentioned above.

Here's a starter list to set your checkbook on fire............

A weight distribution hitch with sway control if going
the 18-20 foot enclosed route (+5000 lbs loaded).

A 2-5/16" ball hitch that will take a 1-7/8" thin wall socket and
torque wrench capable of +300 lb.-ft. to install. Look here:

Axle straps front and rear to hold your car in place.
If your Unique is like mine, there's (2) frame mounted
tiedowns in the front for securing straps to trailer floor D-rings.
The rear has a single frame mounted center tiedown. I
suggest not using that and secure with straps around the
axle each side. If there's aggressive or evasive moves
while hauling, the rear can shift and slide inside
the trailer if only utilizing the center hold down fixture.

Agreed on using axle straps around the rear control arms.
Also, cross the rear straps to keep the car from shifting side to side.
And keep the straps long enough to be near horizontal. If too vertical, the car moving on it's suspension can cause the straps to loosen and possibly disconnect.

I have 24' United Racer's Special, towed by my Ford Superduty diesel or my Monaco Dynasty coach. You'll never have too much space in a trailer. LOL
I'm in the market for a 28' all-aluminun trailer, but prices have gone nuts. I'm just waiting for a little easing in the aluminum market. $$$

I have a 16 foot cargo trailer with 7000 pound axles lots of room cobra is only a little over 14ft lots of room

I hauled a Cobra in a 20'. You are correct, it's just big enough for the
car + essentials such as basic tools, etc. A 24' would be ideal but OP
is hauling this load with 5.3L Suburban and it's not clear if he
has the "Max Trailering" option. Hypothetical loading with a 24 x 8.5:

2016 Suburban Weight Specs
GCWR = 14,000 lbs (with 3.42 differential)
Max Tow Capacity = 8,000 lbs
Max Tonque Wt. using Wt. Distribution Hitch = 630 lbs

Empty Vehicle Wt. = 5,800 lbs
Vehicle Payload - Passengers+Cargo+Fuel Wt. Allowance = 1,000 lbs

Trailer Wt Empty. - 24 x 8.5 = 3,400 lbs
Trailer Cargo Wt. - Cobra Wt.+ Fuel = 2,600 lbs
Trailer Cargo Wt. - Misc. Allowance = 300 lbs
Trailer Wt. Loaded = 6,300 lbs

Estimated Gross Combination Wt. = 13,100 lbs (max = 14K lbs)
Estimated Towing Wt.= 6,300 lbs (max = 8K lbs)
Estimated Tongue Wt. @ 10% Towing Wt. = 630 lbs

Summary:
Within parameters but "Tongue Wt." at or over limit.
Tongue weight at 10% is only minimum requirement.

Drawing from the collective advice and experience I am going to order 22ft x 8.5, 5200lbs Torsion spread axle, extended tongue, .080 Polycore exterior walls and a few other extras. Going to use sway bar on my Suburban LTZ that has the tow package.
