The New AC Cobra Roadster
I know nothing more then what is on this web page! Something tells me, I'm not going to care for it, but who knows? Cheers, Dennis https://accars.eu/ac-cars-unwraps-th...gn=newsletter1

Don't they make announcements like this frequently? Have they ever built anything?

From the web site:
along with a statement of either a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic.
Plus lotsa aluminum chassis and carbon fibre (sic).
Sounds delightful...

Is this the company located at Brooklands? I have visited the Brooklands shop a couple of times.

No, not Brooklands. They are now in the former ZENOS car shed at a trading estate.

A link on the site referenced in the first post says the motor is the Ford Coyote V8. Where did you see LS motor?

Though, I am bracing for disappointment. They are leaning on history for street cred pretty hard.

If you click on the highlighted "Public revealing" in the first line, you will get a picture that looks very familiar. If that's the new one, it looks just like the old one!

I always like to remain optimistic with a healthy backup of skepticism, lol!
From the pictures - abstract as they are - It looks like they're staying reasonably close to the original shape with longer and wider dimensions and updated interior appointments and equipment, including electric windows, air conditioning and a removable hardtop. Given the original's dismal aerodynamics by today's standards, I'd also expect to see lower body changes like a front air dam, rocker extensions and a rear diffuser and/or spoiler. There will certainly be some bumper and lighting changes to comply with current regs. Wheelbase is up to 101" - an 11" increase over the original's 90"
Fingers crossed...

A. L. found a new sucker to "invest". What is interesting is that he apparently has allowed someone into "Acedes Holdings" which is the Delaware (US) company he holds that has all of the trademarks, I.P., etc. for "AC" as opposed to the "AC Car Group" entity.
I have some very interesting documents going back to 1999 that show some very questionable actions by the principles in these entities. And a couple of "investors" in "AC" and an affiliated company went away for a while at the pleasure of New York State.

Hopefully it will be cheaper than the Iconic cobra roadster that they tried to get $425,000.

Going out on a limb here, I would hold off on deposits $$....
Its sad that its been pulled through the mud for so long.
Seems like a business man with a "passion" for cars is the logical step if it ever has a chance to get recognition in the car world again.
Huh, well at least the way I see it...
Tom, stop....

I'll put my positive spin on it....Perhaps this new iteration will inspire our youth to see in this rendition what we see in ours. Time marches on and although this company has seen more than it's share ups and downs maybe they can put this one through the goal posts. I, for one, am happy as hell they aren't making it electric or even worse putting an LS in it. Looks to pay homage to the original "Punisher" in the rendering which is also a plus.
