Ah the Alfa
@hazards280, short answer, The Alfa was my favorite race car and car # was always 02. I bought a 1966 Alfa GTV (True Veloce car) in 1993 to try vintage racing, I'd retired from SCCA racing a few years earlier, and a Jaguar friend (XK-150, XKE V-12 racers) asked me out to a vintage race weekend, and as my wife said on the way home "I don't like the look in your eye" Oh no need to worry honey, I'll try it for a year or so, and be done Sold my series 1.5 XKE to buy something fun, found the Alfa, and it was love at first sight, so my wife said She also noticed a difference in my racing attitude in Vintage racing, I came home "Happy" after a weekend, rather than on the phone Monday morning ordering parts to make it faster. I enjoyed racing AGAIN The friends I made were more important than where I placed. So, yea, Alfa #02 was/is an important part of my life, sorry to babble on, but everything about racing the Alfa was FUN!! Cheers Tom.

Happy to talk Alfas, as well as Cobras ....after all, the title of this thread is "how about some new pictures of our cars"
The Alfa was an Alfetta sedan, vintage 1976. We bought him in 1982 with 32000km aboard. Sold him last year with around 250000 "on the clock".
Was a great car, and sorry to see him go to its new owner, but we knew he would look after him. He had a repaint back around 1998, and the bodywork had survived very well, considering its age. The Alfetta had a lot of history with us, all documented. He was very much part of the family...
Here he was at the start of the "Bay to Birdwood" rally in Adelaide
Cheers!
Glen

That's why I have avoided joining a few of my friends at Bonneville! You know what they say about the salt, twice as white and twice as addictive as cocaine! Watching my friends, I think it is more like 5 times as addictive. Cheers, Dennis

Here's the latest picture I have. Fixing to put it on the trailer to tow it to the paint shop back in April. They're really taking their time on it. I'm getting kind of impatient

Still in process. Came home a couple of months ago from paint. But with summer events/family gatherings, have not been able to finish it.
Here is my Locost 7 under construction. It has a mildly worked MGB motor/trans.

Ellie Napping in the Garage
I snapped a quick shot of Ellie napping after she did some Cobra tweaking. She's over 15 now and slowing down a bit but still the best Cobra mechanic I know.

Your left rear quickjack is so clean and shiny I thought it was missing at first glance!
