Newbie looking for advice on MFGR

I have several classic cars and I'm considering my first Cobra. I am 6'1, 235 lbs and I'm looking for info on which mfgr provides the most comfortable seating. I'm interested ready to drive wide body roadster. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Have you read the forums? This is a common question that SEARCH will show up many topics. Start with "tall driver"...

But the first advice is for you to search out car shows and talk to Cobra owners.

Second, don't buy a car until you've sat in it. That may mean you'll have to buy an airplane ticket. It is important to remember that you do not sit in a Cobra, you wear it. There are so many variations in Cobras between manufacturers and even within production from individual manufacturers (as designs get tweaked). Most owners will let you sit in their car. Variations even within a family can lead to changes in seating, pedal and steering wheel placement. Some also find the seat and pedal angle offset to be uncomfortable but the tolerance point for me equaled a tank of gas so on a longer trip it equaled out.

I suggest Everett Morrison. Tom has a new long wheelbase Cobra and is working with Ford on a warranty covered EPA legal version.
Great conversation for sure, good luck.

I'm 6ft and 245lbs and I fit in my Superformance just fine.

I was 6'1" 250+lbs and the Shelby CSX fit fine but the Superformance steering wheel rubbed on my lap. The Factory Five I tried on was a disaster with misaligned pedals (kits depend on the skills of the builder, and there are unskilled folks).

Check out Unique. They have the traditional 90" wheelbase. With the extended footboxes, I'm 6-2 and can't touch the floor behind the pedals. Great family with great service. They've been around since 1979.
