Thanks, Brent!

Site operations seem back to normal again.

Postscript

I may have spoken too soon. Browsing seemed to work OK, but posting this Thank You took nearly a minute for the transaction to reach completion. There still appears to be some gremlins that have not yet been excised. My internet connect speed is 370 Mbps.

Everything is incredibly slow. Opening the "first unread" on an item in the new posts lists takes about 2 minutes...

We'll see how posting works...

Appreciate the support Brent! All has been running well on my end.

I put it to a bit of a stress test and opened up a few threads on new tabs quite quickly and they all opened up. This action used to cause at least one or two of them to fail connection to the database.

Enjoy your weekend!

I'm working on the performance issue, but something seems to be randomly hitting the database hard and the server CPUs are spiking.

In the meantime, I am working on a plan to get everything over to a new server.

Click the new posts button. Response is quick.

Click on one of the "first unread" buttons on the topic list.

It will take a minute or more to open the topic.

Edit: Posting this topic took me to the "you have to wait 60 seconds" page like it was a duplicate. I only clicked once (I'm positive) so I didn't make a duplicate or try to post twice within the window... This is another thing that happens frequently.

Thanks. I'm still hitting the DB with some intensive work at the moment, so lets see if once I am done if we have some improvement. I can see on the server that the CPUs and memory are not spiking as they were, so we should at least notice some improvement.

I'm still working on a plan to move to a new server.

Consider this a comment rather than a complaint. I've noticed a very large number of Spam social groups on the forum. They don't bother me, but I thought I'd mention it just the same.
