8.8 Tube rear end, for sale??
Ok Gentlemen, I swear I saw this post in the last few weeks. Someone wanted to sell their 8.8 tube rear end, along with parts (FFR?) to mount to an FFR frame, they were asking $1000, and I believe it was on the east coast, it was not on the for-sale section, but on a post?
A friend has an American Legend Cobra (build 2000-ish) someone that had no clue to what they were doing and installed a T-Bird (1999) IRS rear end, to say it's a nightmare is an understatement. The gentleman (Gabe @ All British Restoration) that is rebuilding "Ramco" chassis came by and said the easiest way to fix it is start over with an 8.8 tube axle, he can do the job.
So, number 1, does anyone have those pieces, to sell? Please PM me.
I feel so sorry for (Dave) the owner, he bought the Cobra from just pictures out of AZ. and once his check cleared, all communications from seller ceased, He (The Seller) knew what he was selling, a UNSAFE car!!
The car is undriveable!! Even at rest the rear end is in a bind, with 2–3-degree of positive camber!! Thanks' Gentleman, Cheers Tom.
