Default Four BIG SoCal Rallies!

RALLY 1

Time is coming soon for the September 6th First Friday Niter Rally -

The Redneck Rally.

We will celebrate Jeff Foxworthy's Birthday by running a fun rally in our favorite cars!

This is a BEGINNER FRIENDLY event! It is created for maximum driving fun through curvey and challenging mountain roads. Navigation is easy with turn by turn instructions. All types of cars or trucks are welcome!

Rallymaster Paul McGaffey has written a pure tour course using Monte Carlo style timing. You will get very simple instructions with no tricks, traps, maps or average speeds. You will be given "Car Zero Times" at each Checkpoint and exact mileages. So, no guesswork, no complicated math. Just add your car number in minutes to the Car Zero Time and you know when to cross each clearly visible Checkpoint sign. If you get there early, you may stop or creep without penalty, so long as you do it safely and out of traffic lanes (space is provided at each checkpoint). This rally is designed so that the Navigator can enjoy the scenery too!

We will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints Competitor app for timing. Checkpoint timing is to the second with maximum penalty 60 seconds (1 minute early or late). The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/. You don't need additional timing equipment or expensive rally computers. You only need to bring a clipboard, a pen and a small light to check off your progress through the instructions. Your Official Time and Checkpoint scores show in the app on your smartphone.

If you want to see all the scores at the Finish, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app.

Please try to register here on motorsportreg.

If that doesn't work for you, you can still register in person at the start. Meet us at the Bank of America REAR lot, 10300 Sepulveda Blvd (Sepulveda and Devonshire) in Mission Hills. In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm.

We will finish about 10 p.m. at IHOP, 39176 10th St W, Palmdale, CA 93551 for the celebration, awards and snacks (the cinnamon crepes are amazing!)

Don't miss this one!

RALLIES 2, 3 AND 4

The 2024 SCCA UNITED STATES ROADRALLY CHALLENGE
ONE WEEKEND - THREE RALLIES!
THUNDER ROAD is an 8 hour SCCA National Tour Rally on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024. Rallymaster Joe Akerman has written a very scenic course with lots of things to keep folks on both sides of the car busy. The Monte Carlo format will include your target time at all restarts and checkpoints, and creeping/stopping will be allowed.
STAGECOACH is a 6 hour SCCA National Tour Rally on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024. Stagecoach Rallymaster Larry Scholnick has written a simple, straightforward tsd tour course through some of the local canyons and backroads. All checkpoints will be identified in the Route Instructions.
HIGHWAY ROBBERY is a 6 hour SCCA National Course Rally on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2024. Highway Robbery Rallymaster Jeanne English has written a moderately challenging tsd trap course covering some very exciting and picturesque driving roads.
All three of these rallies will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks -- your Official Time shows in the app!
To register for any or all of these 3 National rallies, please go to msreg.com/2024USRRCnational. If you prefer, you can register in person on rally weekend.
For the Nationals, there must be two (and only two) people - driver and navigator - in each car. Entry fee for pre-entry is $105 per car per rally for the Nationals. There is a $15/car/rally discount if you enter all three rallies. Use discount code RUNALL3 at checkout for Highway Robbery.
Weekend rally headquarters is the Hampton Inn and Suites, 2300 W Double Play Way, Lancaster, CA 93536. 661 940 9194. We have a special room rate for the rally weekend of $125/night plus tax, and includes free breakfast, parking and wi-fi. The link for the hotel is on the msreg page, or you use the email below and we’ll send it.

NOTE - REGIONAL OPTION: To encourage new entries, any or all of these three rallies can be run as Regional rallies. Regionals will not count toward the annual SCCA National RoadRally Championship, nor will they be included in SCCA lifetime points. The Regional versions will run at the same time and use the same course and Route Instructions as the Nationals, but will not have the pressure of competing against National entrants. The Regionals will have their own separate results and trophies. Click on this link to go to the Regional entry page msreg.com/2024USRRCregional.
For the Regionals, there must be at least two people - driver and navigator - in each car. (You can have as many people in the car as you have working seat belts.)
Entry fee for pre-entry is $60 per car per rally. There is a $15/car/rally discount if you enter all three rallies. Use discount code RUNALL3REGIONALS at checkout for Highway Robbery.
Please text 310 350 1360 or email carzero@aol.com immediately if you have any questions.
