Frank, I think you have done a wonderful job of presenting 575, great job with the interaction of the commenters, exc. video's, etc.
I truly believe you have the best chance on BaT to get at least your reserves met. As we have both sold cars there, the last day is usually a 30-50% bump in price from the "Heavy Hitters".
Bill S. may have found my next ERA, as I just missed his 2080, a small gulch in selling my last Cobra, the person passed away before picking it up, or 2080 would have been in my garage.
Cheers & Good luck, Tom.

All the more reason to buy these cars when you're young. Before the Grim Reaper can start his backswing.

Thanks guys. I’m 52 but I started buying cobras at 26. Cobras have a way of making you feel forever young. I kept in touch with the original builder of my car, and he was kind enough to comment on bring a trailer. I’ve been reached out to as well in the past, by people who purchased a car owned by me. The last one that I had in fact was SPF205 and the guy was so appreciative of all the customization that I did to the car. It felt really good to know that someone out there is loving the car you once loved (and still do).

In your responses on the auction you mention that someone in West Babylon had 3 csx cars including a carbon fiber car. What info did you get about it? The CSX carbon fiber cars were manufactured by HST for Shelby. My car was one of them and at the time they said there were 6 total although I heard they may have made 1 or 2 more before HST and Shelby parted ways (and HST completely closed shortly thereafter. including their bread and butter business of armored vehicle conversions. Cobras were truly a hobby of the owner.)

Was it a "LA" car - like mine, CSX4005LA, was made as a group of 427s that were special turnkey cars that were sold to a close group of Mexico City car nuts that raced them on weekends... My memory is fuzzy but I think that 4 of the 6 carbon fiber cars were LA cars, maybe more...

The carbon fiber car was way out of my price range so I really didn’t even look at it, all I remember about it was that it was red and I don’t think it had an engine and transmission. I know that the two fiberglass bodied cars that were there were built I think around 200 6 and the owner claimed they were built by HST, so it does sound very probable that the red carbon fiber car was an HST car, but I don’t know if it was an LA.

Good luck Frank. BAT can be tough to work with, I have sold some nice Shelby parts there, but for cars, I have migrated to P car market, for the sole reason of them offering reasonable reserves. I wish you much luck.

Just sent you a message via BAT contact seller. Wishing big money for you. I second Mr Mustangs photo and presentation suggestions for any future BAT sellers.

Oh, auction lists the trans as a Richmond? Here you mentioned TKO?

Thanks Dan and Footnfan. Hey footnfan you were just bidding weren’t you? Great outcome on BAT. There was a lot of interest carried over from the last few ERA auctions on BAT. Plus my car was the only cobra on the whole sire for the last 2-3 days. Great car, good timing, and lots of communication with the BAT community.
