Cool Cobra Color Codes

Hello,

Can you help me get these color codes. Photo attached.
Is this middle line what I found is Wimbledon white originally?
What code is this silver?

I have these two codes:
AC3 Mist Silver 6182m single stage
AC9 Pure White fg46 single stage

But they do not look what I'm looking for and my painter can't really get any information from these two codes

As a retired bodyshop owner, the problem you have is that the picture you want to duplicate may not actually exist in real life. I say this because the photo itself may have been manipulated in order to look better online or in a physical publication. So, if you have not seen the car itself, up close and in person, you may be chasing a ghost color.

If you received the paint codes from the owner or builder, then you already have your answer. When your painter mixes off those codes, he needs to use the exact formula, down to 1/10th of a gram. If he does not have the digital scale to do this, you'll need to find one who does. Yes, really.

That is a Superformance car, not an "original" Cobra. The AC codes listed are not used by Superformance currently. The "silver" car you posted may be Viper Steel Gray although it looks a littlr lighter. That however may be due to photo and computer screen.

I believe you are spot on, Rick. My SPF is Viper Steel Gray with silver stripes and my gray is decidedly darker than the photo. However, Bill’s point about the photo colors being manipulated for appearance can skew everything ...

If it's a Superformance car and you have the SPF number contact Hillbank. They should be able to tell you the original factory colors.

Wimbledon white has a slightly cream color to it and is a Ford color. the AC book that shows that color is from the later Brian Angliss days! AC had Old English white, which is a more true white. Neither color, looks anything like the above car! Cheers, Dennis
