Wink OH mighty one!

Jamo,
I know the correct spelling of "heresay" but if you actually decipher the incorrect spelling, it REALly says a lot more than intended!
Besides, you're not supposed to be able to "read" my writing, forget the spelling! Like George W. so nicely stated "watch my lips"....... Now go have a cold one and quit your fighting!!

Having a burnout contest at shows is fun. They have been doing them at Super Chevy shows for years now. It does require separating the cars from the spectators however. Given wheel chocks, a possible prize, and cheering crowds, some guys actually smoke the tires until they pop!
Making smoke and noise is fun, but we shouldn't do them through crowds of people. It would be your @ss if some drunk idiot jumped in the way and got hurt.

Good point. Well stated. Not standing on a soap box while making it. Thank you Mr. Fixit.

Talking AAAAHHHHHH IT'S STILL GOING

Just returned from an afternoon of doing burnouts. There is a new day care center in the neighborhood, and they were teaching the kiddies to cross the street with the crossing
guard. You should see the black tire marks of the sign painted in the road, reading
school crossing. Didn't hit anyone, but I am sure I stunted the growth of a few of them....
...this didn't happen, but it sounded good to me.

Hey creepster, heard you were starting a new group called the A-SHOLES. Be advised
that GASHOLES™ is a protected name and the confusion you could possibly cause would
do irreperable harm to the GASHOLES™. Recommend you reconsider and call your group
something else. Recommendations are available, just ask.

-----
if you want to get your post count up above 17 you have to work at keeping these threads going. It was dead for 24 hours but I am quite proud to have restarted it. Turk has purchased
a case of Tums. LNP has committed to stroking his engine to 480c.i. so that he can do more
dramatic burnouts next year. Thats of course that kdco doesn't stand for kid-cop?

Wink perhaps...

At the risk of upsetting some, and not directed to anyone, I am always reminded of what a CC'er told me once, after patching up an argument we had on CC.

"Arguing on-line, is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still a retard"

Hope you all enjoyed the videos, I will post more on another thread.

Eric

PS No e-mails about me being insensitive to mentally handicapped people, or what a (you fill in the blank) I am. It's just a saying, keep it in context please.

Jamo,

The quoting wasn't to point out a spelling error. Sorry that it came across that way. What I was trying to point out is that You clearly don't understand heresay as opposed to witness perceptions.

Dan - I am not sure my points were understood. I couldn't tell from all the insults, flames etc.. It is easy to evaluate the situation. You just have to watch the videos. Videos are relied upon more so in court then eyewitness testimony. Why? Thats' an easy one, film doesn't lie if it's shown in it's total context.

I certainly didn't stereo type eveyone. Just the few that were committing the act. DV said it was shut down due to getting out of control. No surprise and that should be the end of it. If they want to keep attacking me, go for it have fun.

Bmalone - with insults coming my way do you really think I'm going to shut up? POKE< POKE< POKE. This thread was dead then some thought it would be fun to fire it up again. It's not locked down so let's have some fun with it and see how many people we can tick off. BTW, I applied for a security job at your place but, Mcdonalds was hiring right now.. LOL ONly joking bud. I would never think of telling you to shut the hell up or insult your burger flipping..

Bonyhadi - funny you call me an A -- hole. I wasn't the one dropping a 4 or 5k hole shot next to a toddler. I think your a -- hole remark was misdirected. Or your values are really screwed up.

Flame on boys looks like the flame war is just starting.

Pat,

A technical question, how would changing the air pressure in the rear tires affect the steering?

dano,
I always pump up the tires to 80lbs before I do a burnout. Jamo will bring you up to speed on my removable steering wheel option on my Cobra.

creeper
Still a stupid misspelling on my part--I normally check for things like that.

No poking--serious discussion. Are you taking the position that a video tape is not hearsay evidence? That foundational questions need not be asked as to how it was made--such as what affect zooming might have as to how close things appear to be to each other? Come on--I use videos all the time, and also defend against them--probably more so than in other areas of the law (we use security camera videos all the time to catch employees doing something, not to mention their use in labor disputes by both sides). Videos do "lie" all the time--they are subject to the whims of the person making them, or to the bent the offering party wishes to make of them. As a percipient witness (and others have posted here), the video shrunk the distances you think you see. Obviously, the perceptions of the various witnesses (human and otherwise) only comes into play once the evidence comes in, but is still subject to challange. BTW, DV's comment about shutting it down had to do with non-Spring Fling participants (a kid in a Mustang) being stupid.

Sometimes folks have a valid point, but it is overshadowed because of the delivery. Nobody likes being talked down to. I don't think anyone has a problem with someone saying "be careful".

You're right--folks poked at you, but you might want to consider the fact that you invited pokes in the butt by hitting them over the head with a stick. IMFHO

Dave-

Either too much or too little air in the rear tires will affect the steering by making the driver have to use the steering wheel more!
