Thumbs up 3/4 Scale Cobra!

Think the foot box is tight with a full-size Cobra, check out this one. I found it on CobraForum: http://www.mundo.iol.pt/ernestofreitas/motores/
A great Christmas gift for the kid(s).

That's pretty neat!!! Would you park it next to the real thing (or replica) in the garage? Or would the kid make you park outside?

What kind of engine: BB or SB?

With its weight, a good go kart engine would give lots of acceleration.

In addition, you might be able to carry it in the back of a pickup or large SUV: no trailer required!

I don’t know the reason to be careful!

I’m only a guy trying to start something that I think is good!

I’m sorry if some one don’t understand the reasons of my Web Page or my “posts”

Best Regards,

Ernesto Freitas

Nothing personal Ernesto,
But the kit car industry has unfortunately seen it's share of businessmen who accepted deposits and never delivered product. That is why people are carefull with an unestablished company. Until your product is seen in person, with several delivered units at satisfied customers, people will be carefull about laying down their hard earned money.

By the way Ernjesto, you haven't told us what's under the hood? While you're at it, give us a description of the driveline, suspension and general specifications, including performance.

Post 3/4 scale cobra

OK. You are right!
Money is hard earned here in Portugal too!

What I like most (beside my kids) is working with cars: Drawing cars ( www.mundo.iol.pt/ernestofreitas/artes ), making small scale ones, and now I made the ultimate toy car (or car toy). My son loves to ride on it. I’m not accepting or asking any kind of deposits, I’m only telling people that this car exists and I will make some more if some one wants to.
I’m a mechanical designer (not engineer), making this car was my hobby until now (it took 1200 hours). Fortunately, it seams the car has some acceptation, and many people are sending Emails giving me their opinion and kind words, what gives me the idea to start a business.
I already have a couple of cars “sold”. I said, “sold”, because as you said, kit car industry already have problems with some kind of businessmen. I only start to build my cars and deliver them when I become a company. I will find a way to deliver the cars with no problems to the buyer or to me. Every car will have warranty and I know my responsibilities.
Unfortunately, to a dream could come true, a must became many things at the same time.

The car in the pictures in my web page is a “one off” as I said before. The engine is a 6hp with automatic transmission and centrifugal clutch. It reaches 30 km/h (for my 6 years old kid is enough). It has a reverse mechanism and differential in the same gearbox. The next cars I will make will have the same kind of engine, or others can be mounted. One of the cars I’ve already “sold” is for a “kid” with 38 years old! The car will have a four cylinder 1,2 Lt engine with 70 hp, manual 4-speed gearbox and live rear axle. Suspension is independent at front with double “A” arms and will have hydraulic operated disk breaks. Rear breaks are drums.
I’m not here to harm nobody, I’m only trying to make a dream come true.

Best regards,
Ernesto Freitas
