Default Proof...

I knew that Fran Kress was involved in a dog smuggling ring. He used to be a cat juggler but is under court order not to raise any kitty more than 16 inches above average mean base.

I have something that everybody here on this thread would find interesting but in my tecno challenged state I can't post it. If any of you non-Luddites can help, I will email the picture for posting.

Rick

Default Hearing Aids

Poor Carol De,,,,,ha ha,,,,,,theres a man who get no respect for asking a simple question! I have no solution for the dog, but sure enjoy the replies!

On a serious note: YES, hearing damage IS a problem with a Cobra. I JUST bought my first hearing aids ($4K, digital, dolby 5.1 with bass speaker implant, lol). I have ear plugs EVERYWHERE. In the glove box, the tool box, the brief case, my desk. I plan to KEEP what ever hearing I have left! And always wore them driving the Cobra.

I think you are worrying too much. I have a 55 # collie/husky mix that loves riding in the car. no reaction at all when I start the engine. A couple of times we have been in a parade, she sits on the transmission hump, looking over the windshield, and looking back and forth over the crowd. One time someone ran from the sidewalk with a dog biscuit! I'm not sure which is more popular - the cobra or the dog.

Great device, but I note that some Cobra owners are apparent wimps. Well, maybe not wimps, but they do not want to be on the "wrong side" of this thread.

I have had some people email me with serious responses. One is an audiologist that has made hearing aids for dogs. Ear protection is basically creating a hearing aid without the hearing aid. A silicone plug is made of the dogs ear (the mold normally used to creat the hearing aid) and is used as an ear plug. It can be easily used or removed as needed.

Another person says that their dog rides with them in the Cobra in parades. The sound, due to parade conditions, is keep reasonable. Their dogs loves riding in the Cobra. The only problem is that the dog often gets more attention than the Cobra in the parades. I quess that you can not have it all.

Keep the responses coming -- both those in jest and serious. At least we get some good entertainment.

Default " thus quote the raven..."

...As Turk said, "So many cats, so few recipes...."

Hey, myself, I love cats, especially deep fried!

A friend if mine who owned CSX3327 came home one day and found his wifes cat sharpening the claws on the seats, proceeded to "launch" the cat via the tail with six or seven revolutions ala hammer throwers. When kitty hit the ground he/she kept going and did not return for several days.

Dear God, I do love this "cat carrier"

Your in felines,
Rick

Default Puppies and Cobras....

...some years ago as a friend was fueling his replica at the racing fuel pump at Watkins Glen the attendant remarked "if I had one of these a puppy would be redundant to get chicks..."

Problem is once you have a "sweet young thing" what can you do with her in a Cobra?

You guys are mean.
I had a dog in my Cobra once.
Friends told me to put a bag on her head.
It worked for the whole weekend .

I hate to say it but this thread is ridiculous.

Leave the dog home where it belongs. First there is no room for a dog and a passenger. Second why would you want to put the dog in a car that is hot and very loud. Third, because the Cobra has very low doors and no windows you risk the dog unexpectedly jumping out and getting hurt or killed.

Hummm,.... after having my share of fun at Carroll's expense...I must admit, I'm a closet, "dog-road-tripper"! I have a mutt; half Chow and Lab, that literally leaps around the house for joy, when I ask if she wants to go for a ride. How could I say no? I used to have a TR-4a, that had the perfect spot for her right behind the seats. Two things I hated...the hair in the cockpit and all the "slobber" on the trunk!...I never considered her hearing! However, after many trips, [abeit there was no growl from the exhaust], her hearing is just fine thank you. ...so this thread is proabably much adeu about nothing, although it has provided several laughs.

This thread is hilarious!!! At least until "Real 1" and "Racer X" piped up with their "ridiculous" comments. Guys, you gotta see the humour in this thread! It is meant to be taken as "tongue-in-cheek"!! It is meant to be a "REAL" and "ORIGINAL" thread, not a thread that is "less fake" than others!!! Edley

WOULD YOU "GENTLEMEN" STOP MUMBLING !!

SPEAK UP !!

Loud pipes my A$$ !!

How about some Morter Blast, Bomb Blast or Mine Blasts, under water, THEN, your talking loud !! And then, you have something to worry about. Til then, a little motor putt-putt should not effect your or your pooch's well being, at least to the point of leaving any visable scars !!

Excuse Me, I've gotta go, I've got something Important to worry about !!
