Default Shipping to the UK

I wanted to bid on some rods on ebay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...875946927&rd=1

But the guy want to charge me $150 for shipping to the UK !!
For that sort of money I would expect it to be hand delivered by a naked virgin !!
Has anyone ever shipped to the UK?

I had an XKE in the 70's and I had to replace my whole front end(bonnet) and my shipping costs from the UK wasn't that high. I recently sent an OU Rose Bowl sweat shirt Fed Ex to a friend in Devonshire for about $30 shipping. I think I would check with DHL or one of the other carriers.

Check with the US Post Office and ups

http://www.usps.gov
http://www.ups.com

They should be able to price it out right online.

Cheers,
Roscoe

At Southern Automotive, we have several customers in the London area and ship parts to them regularly. A set of rods (13 lbs.) would cost $105.00 via UPS. If using a shipping service like Mailboxes Etc, it could easily cost $150.00 when packaging and profit are added to the actual UPS charge.
