I have been insured with them for about 10 years. I had the brakes fail on my 1960 Rolls and rolled through a stop sign and got hit by a 3/4 ton pick up. It was a weird accident since I had slowed down and was only going about 5 mph when the brakes failed. Nobody was hurt but my car was totalled. It was my fault and American Collectors paid off promptly for the stated value. In fact I was paid more than I expected since I had forgotten that I had an inflation index in the policy. My stated value was $20,000 and I was paid $23,400. They also paid for the towing and storage of the car until it was sold for salvage. They must of handled the other vehicle since I didn't hear anything about it.
My cost went up for my remaining cars but it still seems lower than other classic car insurance companies.
I also had a friend in Houston that totalled his corvette and they handled his claim well. His was a single car accident.
Have fun, Ray
