Congratulations. It's a good feeling to finally make the plunge. However, you may not get your # for quite some time. I did not get mine until a week before the frame went on the jig- and there will be a few months from date of deposit until your frame goes on the jig.
I actually have found that the waiting time has been a good thing. It has given me plenty of time to truly decide what I want and what I like. I can't tell you have many changes I have made to my order since placing my deposit. Let's just say that the car I will be taking delivery of (hopefully sometime soon) will be substantially different than the one I ordered (oh, yeah, and I should mention more expensive too )
Congrats again.
Mike

Great day for you. Once the wait is over and you take delivery then the real fun begins. Isn't it incredible how great it feels to finally have something like this started. Enjoy !!!

Thank you! I am very excited & prepared for the wait. Having done my research & from past experience buiding cars I know that this will niether be cheap or short journey. With all that said I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with ERA. It may be a bit more exspensive but to me it will be worth every penny.

Congrats! You won't regret your choice. ERA builds a great car! By the way, how did you come up with that moniker? Very cool, just curious as to the source of it!

Congrats TongueBoy!!
You're gonna have a great car. Just keep busy during the wait--trust me.
It helps taking a trip or two to the factory once the build starts--get a bit of connection with the car. Not unlike pregnancy.

Color? You mean I have to pick?
That sure will prove to be the most difficult decision.

TP-
Thanks for not answering Chris Potter's question about your moniker- after all there are women and children on this site .
BTW, color is the worst part . . . I only have six more weeks to keep changing my mind before I have to decide

TP,
Congratulations.
My experience with ERA has been great thus far.
I too am in the waiting mode, but we're getting close!
Below (I hope) is a picture of (or link to) my car before it went to the painter. My wife can't understand how I can spend so much time looking at the picture over and over again. I guess it's kinda like the sonagrams (sp?) they take of your baby.
It's also a rush to see my name on the nose of the car.
Good-luck,
Rick

I can't wait til' I'm in the position to have a picture of my car! I talked again to Peter this morning. They have my deposit. I was surprised at how soon they may begin on it.

BTW the Moniker just came up in conversation on day & I liked that it was different & confusing. Scares most people to the point of not asking what it means except for you few brave chaps. Really it has no meaning.

Congratulations Tongue, your emotions take me back a couple of years. Get your motor done and broken in,and all the rest of your drive train and the time will be barely enough. Your car will probably be painted before mine. See you at Willow.

I think the ERA / FIA is a great little car (mine is #2039). Someday I'll put in a bigger motor but for now the little 302 does just fine.
One of the big questions for me was "stripes or no stripes ?" I went with Indigo Blue without the stripes and I think it looks great but maybe a white stripe package would be better.
All I know is that the little ERA / FIA looks great, drives great and I'm really happy with it.

I definately want it to have the same paint scheme as the blue 142 ERA car but different colors. I was thinking Viking Blue with Black Stripe & meatballs or Black with orange. Who knows maybe I'll even change my mind to something completely different. Too soon to tell!!!
