Default Buying a new turnkey cobra

Can someone post any advice on what turnkey roller chassis manufacturer they would recommend for a new cobra in the US?

Big Kid

I've had my SPF since Oct. 1st. I just went over 5,000 miles. That includes 4 track days and one coming up Saturday at Sears Point. So far! I haven't had a single problem, excepted for the typical parking brake thing and the clutch linkage adjustment. There's some drive train mods that I'm going to have done early this spring. But outside of that, the car's running great. Couldn't be happier.

Lew:

Thanks for the response, what color is your Superformance car? Also what size gas tank did you order?

That's me and my cobra in my avatar. The SPF comes with a 17 gallon tank. You can buy an after market fuel cell, up to 25 -30 gallons(I think).

Most Manufactures will build you a turnkey cobra. SPF is one that only does turnkey. Talk to all the manufactures to see what they can offer you. SPF is a great car though...Here are a few I know for sure will build you turn key.

Midstates
B&B
Unique
BackDraft Racing
Hunter

There are also private builders you can contact:
Tristatemotorsports.com (Mike Mack)
Whitby Motorcars
Bruce Botti (haven't seen him on the board lately though)

Good luck!

Default Buying a new rolling chassis from Superformance

I contacted the folks at Dynamic motorsports and my plans are to buy one from them. Also I talked to Eric at Performance Engineering right behind Dynamic Motorsports and believe they can do a good job on a 351 Windsor stroked to 418 with a .586 lift cam putting out approx. 525 hp. What do you all think of a small block versus a big block.

Well, the SPF is the only one that i know that is ONLY available as a turn-key or roller. But just about every replica manufacturer can arrange to have the car built by someone experienced, to whatever degree you want. So you can write a check and get a driveaway of i believe of any replica.

Lots of choices for you.

You did not just ask about SBvsBB? You're new so I guess we can let it go...
YOU NEED TO TALK TO GREAT ASP! He has the same motor. 418. 351w Strokers one of the best both world's engines out there. IMHO...

Got Snake-
Excellent job on the bob and weave!! I like the misdirection and the redirection to Great Asp. Could that possibly be the end of the sb v. bb debate on this thread??? It would be a first. What are the odds?

sb vs. BB, now you've really started something!!

Seriously, whichever you choose you won't go wrong with Eric at Perf. Eng., they built my itty-bitty little small block and they did a great job. I've never heard anything but good about him from others as well. There is of course, something to be said for having someone close to you do the drivetrain for you (don't know how close you are to their shop). On the other hand, installing his motors in SPF cars is pretty much Eric's bread and butter. They do a nice tidy installation.

Default sb vs bb

Hi John
SPF 1421:

Thanks for your comment about Eric. I must be dense and certainly is not my intention to beat a dead horse to death what's the big issue of sb vs. bb?
Other than size and weight what is all the fuss about?

Talking SUPERFORMANCE

Only one roller to buy, Superformance.

The quality, fit and finish are second to none.

See them all, then buy the Superformance. You can look in my gallery at the 418 that Eric built for me. 556 HP on pump gas, and very drivable (sp?)

Great Asp
