You know, Evan, i know how you feel. You are the "go-to Guy" when it comes to the Shelby/CSX cars. Like you, i bristle when anyone insinutates that this or that replica is better than my own brand, as no doubt gleems thru my occasonal posts here on CC.
I happen to strongly feel that SPF is the "best" replica made, regardless of cost But then so do you, (your Shelby, i mean of course) and the Unique guys, not to mention the rabid FFR chaps, likewise come running when their cars are slighted.
So it's OK by me that you go to bat for your car's heritage.
I also am convinced i have the finest wife, children, and live in the best state (SC !!), in the best country, too. None better than what i have.
But then, i have accepted the reality that the thousands of CC members pretty much ignore me and my opinions. So i don't bother much with the proselytizing any more.
But hey, speak your mind. I have friends that are lawyers, heck, my son-in-law is an attorney! So i understand.
Like the rest of our Country, i ask that God bless our late astronauts, and their families.

Hello Hal,
I belive someone stated your car was in Car Craft or something recently. Yes? If you don't mind me asking, maybe you could post some pictures of your very nice car into the Gallery and this thread if you have a few digital pics? I enjoy looking at all Cobras, brands/types and configurations... Its all Good! Thanks.

I say... JAMO's ASS wins!!!
Never seen it, don't want to see it, don't even want to hear about it again. But if a person swears their ass is the biggest, well that's good enough for me.
So if you're considering different asses, and you like 'em big, pick JAMO (sorry man, you said it).
If you're considering replica's... go SPF"S rah, rah, rah.

JAMO!
I agree, but this thing lasted 8 pages before everything went to cr$&. That doesn't seem too bad.

Hi guys, my turn, My quarter horse has the biggest A$$ and the prettiest too. Jamo you get 2nd place. I have a great IDEA. Lets get ERA,SPF,FFR,Midstate, CSX, and every other cobra builder and have a test. All cars need the same engines, trans, and rear ratios, and tires, 15 inch BFGoodrich tires. We will run 1/4 mile, 0-100-0, autocross, braking from 100 mph to 0 mph, and the G-force test. Small blocks race small block and big block race big blocks. BOY this sounds like the RUN&GUN. It's in the middle of Oct this year you guys can all make it and we will see who has the best over all car for each division. I am build ing only one car, it is not for sale. Each year I add better parts to it to perform better and be safer. I like cars, period. Stop trying to compare apple to oranges to bananas. All these cars are built differently, different prices, motors, brakes, colors, body styles, Alum vs fiberglass, tires and rims, No 2 cobras are the same of the ones built by Shelby. I am happy with my 14.0 second car with p/s, fuel injection. Everybody on CC like cobras. Mine is not the fastest, prettiest, or most orginal, but she is all mine. Good night Guys Rick Lake

Rick, are you OK, you seem sort of stressed or something. You might try a glass of Merlot or a fine white wine to relax a bit. Put your feet up, get out a good book, and settle in that leather chair over by the fireplace.
Easy now, big guy, easy now. It will all be better in the morning.

TerrySPF: Thanks for clearing that up. As long as your just knocking me and not my car thats fine!
As to whats "better". That defies definition based on the fact that better means something different to all of us.
I never said my car was "better" and that I have the "best car on the play ground." Why is it that whenever I defend the demeaning statments or implied knocks about the CSX that equates to me saying mine is better than yours? This in turn results in me being called such things complimentary adjectives such as "weenie" @#$% and the latest description as a "egocentric punk?" Hmmm. Thats OK. But can you give me an explanation as to what would drive such emotions to personally insult someone for stating facts about a car?
Hard for me to understand. But it is business as usual here.

Turk-
Don't you mean your old car was better than Evan's?? Or are both the old and new better than Evan's??
