Raleigh/RTP NC Cobras
Guys,
Who are you getting to paint your Cobras (or GT40s) in the Raleigh NC area? I have resigned myself to the fact if I am going to get this damn car on the road this year I need to outsource the body work, and of course, the paint. So, anyone have any recommendations on a good shop in the area? I'm open ot anything good, Thanks much,
Ron

Ron, I have a friend in my area, (Mooresville,NC) who is an award winning painter, he's reasonable, and isn't too backed up. If you're interested, let me know. I can ask him if he would like to do it. I would volunteer, but, have my 34 Ford coupe to finish, And, would probably take too long. Chris

Chris,
Sure would! It would be body work and painting, the whole 9 yards and I wish an excellent job. Hershal showed me some of the ropes, but doing body work in my small garage was ruled out by my wife - noise and heinous amounts of dust!!!! I'm in Apex so very near to Morrisville,
Ron

Uh, Ron, that's Mooresville, a little north of Charlotte, but, I still think it would be worth the trip. His work is the best I've seen, and his gap work is incredible. I'll be talking to him this weekend, I know he's painted at least one other GT40, so, it won't be anything new. You remember the show Hardcastle and McCormack? He built the cars for the show. Email me your phone number, and I'll give you a call after I talk to him. Need to know when the car would be available, so he can schedule it.
