Ruble - I saw Randy Saturday and he already had modified one of his regular front nose pieces to the FIA style. We both agreed that it needed a little more work, and he is anxious to get on it. I am confident that he can get the "look" just right, being the perfectionist he is. He expects to have the body mounted to show at the DSCC weekend at Silver Springs in May. He also plans to have his four-door there. I took some pictures that I'll post asap.
Cal - Thanks for clearing up the question about coil-overs on original FIA models from Shelby. I had never heard of coil-overs on them but wasn't 100% positive that there were none.
Ernie - I would guess that maybe some owners of original FIAs may have converted their front end to coil-overs once Shelby started putting them on the 427s.
Ted - I'm with you on the engine choices. Small blocks belong in 289 style bodies and big blocks belong in in 427 style bodies. Of course this is just my opinion which means absolutely nothing to anyone but me.
