Default Builder in Bay Area

I need a builder in the San Francisco Bay Area to help finish a project. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I was having a coupe built on a VSE rolling chassis. It is a one-off body design that roughly resembles a Ferrari 250 GTO. The project is now almost a year behind schedule and the builder called to say that he was getting out of the business, getting a job and would not be able to finish my car for at least another year. So, I need someone to finish.

The chassis is done with the motor and transmission mounted. The motor still needs the EFI system installed. Most of the work will be on the body. The doors need to be mounted and the nose(which lifts forward like a Daytona coupe) needs to be mounted also. The rest of the work is finishing the interior--insulation, wiring harness, head and tail lights, seats, dash, vintage air conditioning, wipers etc. All body parts are made but fitting them and doing some other interior fabrication will take some creativity.

There really aren't any completely reliable.. That said there are many very talented craftsmen very good at specialty manufacturing. That gets really expensive really fast.

Who screwed you over? You might save someone else the grief of going to him before he leaves town.

Thanks for the information on Craig, I will follow-up on Monday. I live in the East Bay (Piedmont) but the builder could be anywhere in the greater bay area. I need to think about putting out the name of the builder because some of the problems were probably out of his control and put him in a bind also.
