Exoto model cobras
Hi, just had a look at the Exoto model website, wow you should see the latest cobras they are making. They are selling the 1st ever racing cobra which Bill Krause raced with the louvres in the bonnet. Also the cobra which Dave Mcdonald drove to its 1st victory, i never knew its wire wheels were red as i have only seen b/w photos of it. Plus the Carroll Shelby driving school cobra. Amazing.

PDHse,
Get their catalog and look at it. They sent me a new one some time back and their models are great but so are the prices. I have some of their stuff including the 1st Cobra ever made. I looked at one of their GT-40 models and it is $598 dollars. I have the whole set of the Daytona Coupes including the stainless one that I got for getting the six others and they were $139 when I bought them. I have been offered a lot more than that for some of then lately.

Hi Guys,
My bride caught me off guard and bought me one of the #26 Daytona coupes with the "Carroll Shelby " signature for my birthday in January.....It is a very nice model and I don't want to even think about what she paid for it.
Got another gift froma friend that my wife and most other people don't even understand........The front windshield from a Phantom F4. I have it sitting here in my office and everybody wants to know "What is That !!!"
I like the exacto models but, you do pay for the quality.

You,re right they are expensive, i can,t afford them being a family man. I was lucky enough to win one though in a model magazine a few years ago. It is the no 5 cobra daytona, brilliant quality.

they come in set of 3 and the price was $395. How about that 20
pound peuter going for $1000. wondering if someone bought it

The FM Pewter Cobra is pretty slick. My SO (that's Significant Other - we're not talking engines, here) got it for me as a "retirement gift".
I think you can see it in my picture gallery - it is one of many Cobras in my upstairs loft that I refer to as my "Carroll Shelby Hall of Fame".
The Exoto coupes are terriffic - I got mine for $99, as I "pre-ordered" it in 1997 at the Monterey Historics at their booth, before they went into production. I'm still waiting for an FIA car, and a late slabside with side vents.

Hey Jamo,
If you see any really cool Coupe models...let me know by cell.....
Are you willing to transport Cobra contraband from the foreign pagan south to the pristine north for a Fee ????

Tony
E-mail your cell number...
I have the polished coupe and a few roadsters in 1/18--I'm wondering if they'll have the Franklin Mint's 1/20 bare roadster--which will match my Kirkham--they may not carry it.
An extremely good 1/18 brand that I like is Racing Legends--I have a nice Gran Sport coupe from them--love the side drafts.
I'll be looking for 1/43s--easier to hide from the wife.

Thanks Jamo,
Sent the cell # .........The Polished Coupe with the case in 1/18th is of definite interest. I will look to have Bondurant put his signature on the car from there......
BTW...As I said in my e-mail you can buy anything you want and lay the purchases off to a crazy SOB in the Bay Area that has more money than Good Sense!!!!! Bring an extra....Empty suitcase.
The reality is that when it comes to our Cobras we do tend to spend more money than good sense or judgement says we should.

I've actually bought most of my collection from that store. If the 405 gets clogged coming home from Orange County--I pull off, buy a few cars, get a good meal and wait for the traffic to clear. Seeing some of those handbuilt little 1/43s with track or garage scenes--oh my...
