CSX-3150 Down Under
Hi All,
CSX-3150 is on the front cover of Australian Classic Car this month. There is a comparison between it and a Classic Revival Cobra. It looks like this is a regularly used and abused Cobra with dents and stonechips. It's nice to see these cars still getting out and about despite their price tag.
The Car was built in the UK, right hand drive in 1965. The engine and trans was shipped out from the US and installed at AC. The car was then shown at the Brussels Motor show in 65 before being sold to a UK owner. It was then later sold to a Frank Foster who brought it and a 289 Cobra to Australia.
The original motor in CSX-3150 threw a rod and holled the block. A replacement 427 was sourced from the US. The car is a dark blue roadster with bumpers and moulded hood scoop but no sidepipes or roll bar.
Cheers
