G.R.

What exactly is a "soccer mom"???? I'm serious, I still don't know exactly what that means..... Is it suburban mothers who take kids to soccer? Is it a derogatory term?

anyone,
anyone,
Bueller? Bueller?, Ferris Bueller...

Hi Al,

Had to turn the temperature down on my dog's hot tub! Also switched from beer to Red Wine - no refridgeration necessary.

We all have to make sacrifices.

Dan,

A $35. electric bill is truly a miracle... Two more miracles and we will start the effort to have you beatified and on your way to sainthood... at least I think that's the way it goes????
If you can turn the beer into wine then that would be miracle #2

I recently moved out of my 5 bedroom 3 bath house with the $300 a month electric bill. That house and I'm SINGLE! Talk about bouncing off the walls.

Now, 2 bedroom one bath condo with $75 electric bill. Hey, just doing my part for the greater good!

My "x" in Ohio is a soccer mom, I think it's great! She takes my boy and his friends to soccer, basketball, baseball games, you name it. I like that she is so involved with his activities and love to support her in those endeavors! Maybe I should buy her a new SUV? Wait, I gotta get the Cobra first, ha ha!

Ernie

So,,,,I should load the trunk of her new SUV with Guns and Beer so she will be "safe"? HA HA, thats funny.

How do you manage to place your "x" into Ohio, while you sit in Hawai and be miserable with all that sun, sand between your toes, bugs and salty water and ugly a$$ plants and bunch of half naked women running around?

The divorce laws must be pretty tough on men in Hawai? Is there no justice in the world?

I am trully sorry for your predicament, life must have taken a turn for the worst for you.
Do you want to trade places so I can experience the misery you must go through every day, that way I will develop a better level of compassion, you miserable man, you?

TURK
I don't have an "x" in Ohio or a condo in Hawai.

Default SUV''s

I really don't see what the big stink is about suv's.
I don't see anybody complaining about 15 passenger vans,
or the family coversion type of vans. With tv's beds and all.
Those things are terrible on gas, but nobodys complaing ?

Why only single out SUV's?
Most cars today still get crappy mileage.
I just drove my sister's new GMC Yukon to Florida and back.
We had four adults and three kids and it was packed with stuff
we still averaged 16.8 mpg. I was impressed with that number
I really thought we'd get a lot less!
I thought that was excellent mpg. for that type of vehicle.
Great driving too.

snake oil,
if 15 passenger and conversion vans outsold cars, people would ***** about them. I wouldn't say suv's are necessary (H2's in particular) but there are many things that we are fortunate enough to have that aren't necessary. People are always going to blame others.

Personally I don't like suv's. Nothing to do with environmental crap, I simply don't like driving them. Most I have driven are large, cumbersome, and simply not enjoyable to drive. Do I care if others drive them? Not at all.

I was half paying attention and half napping, but remembered only 2 points. SUV's are 3X more likely to roll than a car and 10X as likely to kill someone in another vehicle. My Cobra should be viewed as a very safe vehicle, indeed, not being marred by either of these issues.

MY WIFE'S SUV WENT UP ON 2 WHEELS JUST AVOIDING AN UNSTEADY KID ON A BICYCLE AT ONLY 45 MPH.
WHEN YOU DO HAVE THAT INEVITABLE SUDDEN MANEUVER AT SPEED THEY LIFT AND ROLL AND YOU PROBABLY WILL HAVE MORE PEOPLE AT RISK.
COBRAS STAY FLAT. ONLY 1 OR 2 MAX AT RISK. MORE POINTS FOR THE COBRA SAFETY COUNCIL.
SOON WE SHOULD GET SAFE VEHICLE INSURANCE DISCOUNTS.

KEEP UP THE SAFETY LOGIC BUT DRIVE WHAT YOU WANT. IT'S JUST NOT A PERFECT WORLD.

Casaleenie

"Soccer mom"--term defining a mother, with children of an age who attend/participate in any number of sporting events, generally soccer, younger, non-working, drives a SUV or big van,
and have an attitude that things in life revolve around them and their kids only--Bigger the SUV, the bigger the attitude--And they can be damn dangerous on the road-- Deraugatory(sp)definition

I guess I have had my fill of them because I happen to live on an island that has a fairly wealthy populace per capita for a place this size--and there seems to be an overabundance of them here

G.R.,,,,,yet another reason why I moved! The "wealthy" neighborhood area I was living in was just "to much" of everything, including SUV's! It's looking more like "little Calif." and less like Hawaii everyday "down there".

I got banana trees in my backyard now, (I do miss the pool though), lol.

I'm waiting for a tree hugger to give me greif over my new H2 and when they do they will find out it's healthier not to shove their beliefs down other peoples throats

I personally like excess, do I need a 8000 sq foot house, maybe not, but I wanted one, I can afford one so why not.

What really ticks me off about this stuff is the people whining have no Idea how hard we work to make a good living for our families and then try to enjoy it the way we want while were young enough!!!!

Ok, I'm done
