PLAIN AND SIMPLE; The DVSF III site is up and running- sort of and that aint all!
The site is open, and running. You can read all about the Fling, the schedules, agenda, etc.
We are still working with the Credit Card Merchants Assoc. (yup...still) to allow us to except credit cards for registration and raffle tickets. Hopefully, per our 4th conversation with them today, by Wednesday that too should be working.
Until then registration and raffle tickets are still on temporary hold.
So, on with the show! www.dvsf.com

I am making tentative plans to fly to the area, and hopefully bumming a ride to the Fling! Hate to pay cabfare when I can pay Cobra fare!

*Just an FYI for people that are looking to book a room for the weekend*...........The Fairfield Inn said they were SOLD OUT for that weekend when I called a couple weeks ago looking for a room. Ended up at the Hampton, and as of 2 weeks ago, they still had rooms available.
Just trying to save anyone from making a long distance call to the Fairfield for nothing. I was on HOLD forever, only to hear they didn't have any rooms!
Site looks good DV! Let's get those ticket sales started..........I'm just about finished cleaning out the garage to make room for that Kirkham!

Thanks for the comments.
Made a note at the top of the table advising the "room challenged" status of the Fairfield.

Awesome!!!!
DV,
Awesome! Sounds like a blast. The countdown clock is like torture, huh? Either it's going too fast because there is so much to do before the event, or it's going too slow because we just can't wait for it to get here.

I thought we covered it in the Pop-Up and the front page, but the registration process is "on-hold" until the credit card clearing house is ready to go. (ETA mid-week 3/10). You should have been directed to an "Under Construction" page.
DV will have to answer the price question.

People,
Last fall we discussed the first time registration fees all over the boards. "We " finally agreed that the Fee will be $100.00. This will include you and your fmily. There is no limit to your family size but we are counting on everyone being up front. You know, not the neghbors, the neighbors kids, etc. If your aunt Edna and Uncle BIll wants to come thats fine.
One T-shirt will be included and the costs of all events and party's will be covered, along with escorts, and some VERY special entertainment lined up!
No one will be turned down for lack of funds. If the $100.00 means the difference of coming or not, simly contact me via e-mail. All information will be kept confidential.
No one will be turned down.
DV...we had a special delivery today!

DV ???
Glad to see the site up and can't wait for the registration and ticket sales to get going.
BIG QUESTION DV. What happened to Quaker Steak and Lube on Saturday night? That was a number of folks favorite event last year.
Observation: Thought Kirkham would have gotten a MUCH bigger presense on DVSF.com

Rick,
See those little gremlins running all over the DVSF web site? That's how fast our volunteers are working to get the pages done and the information collected. It IS under construction. Trust me, the Kirkham/Jenny Cobra WILL get its just due!
QS&L? That too is under construction and may be totally changed before the FLing. More on this later.

It looks great ! !
The "Cobra Cross" looks like fun. I am thinking that I will be forgoing the track event at BeaveRun and doing the "Cobra Cross" instead.
Giving others a ride and fooling around sounds like a great plan to me.

Crillyiv,
Sir, I just got back minutes ago from having a meeting with the County Commissioners, City planners, Airport administrator, and a few people I had no idea who they were.
They are ready!
This is my game plan turning left from the trerminal, pull up to the "lights", wait for the green and turn that baby loose. STOP! Turn left, back to where I entered and turn right. Wait for the flagger and kill as many as those ugly orange cones that I can!
Then repeat, repeat, repeat. I'm sure I will find some "civilian" that will be willing to donate for a ride!
DV...Bet I can kill more cones quicker than you can!

First: Don't call me "Sir", I work for a living.
I have never done the cone thing, but trying to take them out with the rear quarter panel while sliding/drifting through the corners sounds like fun. Even better will be the look on the face of the poor SOB that goes for their first ride in one of these cars with me at the wheel
Might need to put plastic sheeting on the passenger seat
Heck, I feel like a kid looking forward to his first trip to Disney Land. Maybe I just need to get out more.
As far as killing cones, we'll have to see who gets more. No bets yet.
