Cobra Gunship Picture?
Does anyone have a copy of the picture that Brent used as a header two years ago with a cobra, a 427 vette and a Cobra gunship chopper in the background?
I've searched my archieves and can't find it. If you happen to have it and can send me a copy, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you,
Dan

Dan, I thought I'd be able to find it quickly, but all to no avail.... I'm positive that the photo is of Art Colley's Cobra. His site is http://www.artcolleys.com/01ourcobra.htm

Stan,
Thanks for sending the great picture. I just returned from a surgical seminar and have been away from the internet for several days.
Thanks to everyone that mailed their favorite pictures. They are all absolutely wonderful.

Oh my goodness!
That is one awesome picture. That IS the Cobra that I remember, without the P51( OOPS, typing to fast thinking to slow! RDorman is right ...please change that to a P-40!)
Dan, are you out there? I know you are bringing that beautifull new snake to the Fling. How about if I make the arrangements for you to have your own personal picture with the new and improved Cobra gunship taken. Kind of a thank you for all your help and support on the Fling since day one.
Better yet how about two modern versions of the Cobra gunship and your car?
Yes folks, you heard it here first...we are now making arrangements with the Ohio National Guard to have two active, but unloaded BLACKHAWKS AT THE FLING!
They will be here Sunday of the Fling at the airport. You will be able to park your cobra in posistion to take your own fabulous picture!
Dan has the option of going first!
DV...it's only getting better and better people...Frank- Thank you for setting this up! Way to go OCC!

I think you may have meant P40 DV.
Cool about the choppers. Frank arranged that eh? Get that Gashole U-2 to bring his ride That would be something. Perhaps he could do a fly by and take spy photos

P-39 aircobra Made in the USA for our russian commrades! Beautiful cannon in the nose, great body, Allison engine! This is my other passion out side of Cobra's! WW2 Aviation! P-40, beautiful pearl harbor plane! Great looking too.... I want to buy this awsome P-51 mustang project but there a tad bit more than a cobra project..... bummer...

DV,
Tell me the day and the time and we WILL be there. This is one heck of an idea and I can just imagine the sign up list will be fabulous. Thanks for all of the work and creative ideas that you've invested into the 3rd Spring Fling. There will be many new faces and an equal amount of new, dedicated Spring Flingers!
The rewards of having an idea come together definitely rank at the top of the list of lifetime achievements!

Dr. "D",
The "good guys" will be with us all day at Sundays event. They will also be recruiting while we get to push our snakes to the limit at the Airport event.
Lets see, Blackhawks, speed exhibitons, autorcossing, "The RIPCORDS", and more, all at the same time. Will it get better? Oh yes! we're about half way there!
For those that may not know:

The blue Cobras are Pete C's ERA, Bony's old Contemporary, Turk's old ERA...
The red ones are Pat Buckley's (now Bony's) ERA 535, my (now Fred Douglass') Butler and Bill Malone's Contemporary.
The ramrod straight pilot on the right next to the plane is our own U2 Driver.
Me thinks we're gonna have to take this pic again to include the new tin cans...
Here's my favorite pic of DVSFII...what it's all about!
