Default Carlisle or Spring Fling?

I have been seriously looking for a quality build Cobra. Which place do you think I would have a better chance finding a used one, Carlisle or Spring Fling? Some of the turn key cars, SPF, look very nice and I have given some thought of going that route. I would imagine the manufactures of these would be at Carlisle, is this correct? I have reservations for Spring Fling but if I chose to go to Carlisle also I need a recomendation as where to stay. Thanks,

B/Stock,
Carlisle will offer you more in the way of vendors. It is more of a selling show and a swap meet all rolled into one.
As for choices of cars to look at with different fit and finishes, Spring Fling will give you a lot mre to look at and talk to the owners.
Couple of years ago I attended both to get a feel for what I am getting myself into. They both benefited me in making some choices.
If you can, go to both. If you can only attend one, it is the Spring Fling..

B/Stock, Turk is right. Hit both shows cause you're hitting both ends of the spectrum. I've told several people that they'll find that too much info is never enough.

B/stock
Holiday INN -York, Pa is not far away, as well as anywhere in Harrisburg. You need to make reservations soon. As far as Spring fling, 300 plus cobra nuts have already made reservations. Contact DV for reservation availability. Fairfield's, Hamptom and Cross --- already booked. Don't be locked out. Where can you see so many different Cobra's with different engine/Tranny combinations. Only at the fling in Columbus, O H I O

All the major hotel chains have places within a few miles. Do not wait till a week prior to call for reservations.
The vendors will have several customers and there cars for you to look over so allow plenty of time.
If you find something that you like get someone that you are comfortable with to look it over.

Booked the Hampton Inn for Spring Fling about 7 weeks ago. Just need to book a place in Carlisle.

Jeff

Sounds like a great plan.

Thumbs up Turk, Jeff

What are the dates of Carlisle---how far from Columbus is it? And, finally, can you visit both realistically if the DO happen to fall on the same week-end?

Default Spring Fling

Carlisle is the weekend of May 16, 17 and 18. The Spring Fling is the weekend of June 20, 21 and 22. It doesn't take a month to drive to Columbus.! Hope this helps.
Larry
PS: I echo the opinions of both shows.

Default Add $5-10K at Carlisle

Don't wait buy now. The prices will go up around Carlisle time. Rite now it is a buyers market. Set yourself a price range, look in the Club Cobra for sale section, Cobra Country, Hemmings, Auto trader, Get a move on, NOW is the time to buy!

mr bruce

I think the prices of all toys are going to be depressed for some time. People are more worried about the economy, their retirement, etc. I already have a two seater open car in my gararge so I can wait till I find the right Cobra. I find myself being much less impulsive these days. Though it sure would be nice to have a Cobra this summer.
